Almond, I understand that this could be sarcastic (trust me, sometimes it's hard to determine sarcasm and I have a hard time recognizing if someone here is joking or serious when it comes to sarcasm sometimes...) but addressing your 350 of vocal minority quote, yeah, I get it only 350 people have voted so far and that's still a small amount when compared to the thousands of people here who still play or at one time played and no longer play and they no longer read these forums either.

MY point is to get as many people who are currently reading these forums to vote here and express their POV in the vote and to make sure my poll is as unbiased as possible, so there is no excuse and PGI can't ignore the poll and we can point at it and say "Here, here is what the people want, make it happen."

Yes we have about only 350 people who have voted at the moment. I get it. Tell your friends. If they were a part of Mechwarrior before and they've stopped playing, tell them to get to the forums, log on and cast their vote here. Let's give it one more try to get people here and show PGI what really matters.

PGI should have just worked on a Lobby System where if someone 'creates' a match, they can label the match as

"Mech Warrior Fun House Derp Derp Time" "(3pv/1pv)" selected
"Stock Mech Challenge - Veterans Welcome" with "stock match" and "1pv" selected ;
"Realism Time Fun Land" "Limited Engine Mode Customization" and "1PV" selected ;
"Min Max Extreme - Can you Survive? 1PV Only."

And therefore players can join what they want.

My interest in this game is dying, the only thing keeping me playing is the Sarah jenner and the other thirty dollars I dropped on the game a month ago. If they screw up the launch I am not coming back.

I have mixed feelings about the whole thing. On one hand, I don't like 3Pv. It's more "Mechassault" and less "Mechwarrior." I guess I kinda understand why they did it (bring in new players; don't scare them off). Heck, I *still* hear in-game complaints about "which way are my legs pointing??" But I'm not sure 3Pv is going to suddenly pull in a bunch of new players. I do think the floating "shoot me" beacon was at least an attempt at a good compromise. But I do have to ask, why is this what they're spending development time on? Is it because they have to have *some* sort of periodic content to release while they work on more important changes that might take longer to implement? I guess from the outside looking in it really doesn't make a lot of sense...

I LOVE MECHWARRIOR. I didn't like the idea of 3pv and after seeing it in action, it's everything I thought it'd be. Recon without risk. Way to dumb down the so called the "thinking persons shooter".

Look, I think a person playing in the 3PV is really only hurting themselves, and I have not noticed any advantage to be gained with it. So for your poll, I voted accordingly.

That said, just for fun, I would like the camera that rises up have the following properties:

* It shares armor with the head (6pt of 18, or 9pts of 18,something like that)
* It can be shot down
* Damage to the camera can jar, disable, and ultimately destroy the camera and 3PV
* Excess damage does not transfer to the head

I would also recommend a 1500 MC only module to have the camera arise from the CT rear armor rather than head.

Go ahead and play with mixed 3PV, and understand your peril.

To be fair, you can vote undecided in question 1 but in order to save your vote you must answer all of the questions which requires you to be on one side of the fence or the other two.

Questions 2 and 3 could do with an undecided option.

I wouldn't say it's silly to leave at this point. My guess is that if their design succeeds commercially, the core players might have a bone thrown to them every now and again, but little else.

When I think about all that money generated from the Founders program, I get angry about how things have turned out. Gamers really need to form unions to manage relationships with these crowd-funded endeavors. Anyone who bought into the program on the basis of the vision presented really did get screwed. It's a shame nobody will be held accountable.

They swindled me out of my money, I have never been filled this nerd rage and hate because of a game until now. So i will take out my nerd rage the best way.

I don't know about MW3 (netcode made multiplayer a joke), but in MW4, there was a server option to force 1PV. I ONLY played on servers with force 1PV. All of the no-respawn leagues were force 1PV. I'm sure most of the 3PV detractors, and I dare say most of the founders, played exclusively or almost exclusively on force 1PV servers and/or force 1PV leagues.

We NEVER supported 3PV, but in MW4 we had a choice and currently, in MWO we have no choice at all.
