Maybe this is the wrong place on the forums, I don't know, but as the title says; how do I terminate my account? I can't seem to find it anywhere.

The 3PV is it for me. I'm out. Just hope there will be another MechWarrior game around soon.

Yup, yet another bad-*** harcore simulation 1PV-only true Mechwarrior/Battletech fan since 80's who just today miraclously discovered only Mechwarrior game currently alive, only to leave it within moments, disgusted by feature that almost every other MW game had.

Just stop playing? It's not like your account does anything.

This certainly looks like an account made specifically for the purpose of terminating it shortly thereafter to try to "scare" PGI.

they're coming out of the woodwork. the OP knows there is no reason to terminate his account, unless he want's that specific name again for a future account, I suppose? But since he claims he no longer wants to play then why would he want that name again? Why would he care about data stored on a game's server that he doesn't like?

I would venture to say that if you really want to terminate your account over 3PV then you can email [color="#b27204"]support@mwomercs.com[/color] and tell them all about it. I'm sure they will completely erase you from their servers as requested.

Indeed.

Normal folks try a F2P game. If they don't like it? They just don't log in again. They definitely don't go through all the hassle of logging into the forums just to make a post asking how they can terminate their account over some (shock!) hot button issue.

And even if said "normal folk" really wanted to "terminate their account", the very first thing you'd do is click "Support" and follow the links there.

You just post on the forum because you want to make noise for your cause.

I am a forum member as of today, yes. I have been playing since march.

And, yes, I was trying to send a message. Hopefully someone in the future (who understands what "simulator" means) will make another MechWarrior game. Maybe, just maybe, the debalce here will contribute to a decision to staying true to the BattleTech fans.

You've been given two very good answers to your question.

1) Email support (no, I won't give you the address again, it's been given multiple times in this thread alone) and talk to them about terminating your account.

2) Just uninstall and stop playing. Your account would still exist, but since this is a FREE to play game (read: no subscription) and neither you nor anyone else would be using it, it would be, in effect, terminated.

Either way, since your intention is to flounce off in a huff, pick one of those two and go away. Oh, and since no one else has said it, can I have your stuff?
