* Poor weapon balance.
* PGI's attempts to improve weapon balance (ghost heat, ghost delay) show that they do not understand their own game and only make matters worse.
* Poor scaling of mechs. We have assault-sized mediums and heavy-sized assaults. This will not do.
* Lack of sane game modes. What we have now has nothing to do with Battletech.
* Lack of 1PV only queue. I have nothing against 3PV, I just don't want it. And I don't want to play against people using it as it gives them significant advantage.
* Lack of solo-only queue.
* Consistent ignoring of any constructive feedback.

The quote below details my reasons.
*I may update this quote when FupDup updates his post.

*Bad weapon balancing where only a handful of weapons are "competitive"
*Utterly insane heat implementation (high capacity and low dissipation)
*Ghost heat's existence
*A mech's viability is decided by its hitboxes and model size more than what it can carry due to how PGI made the mechlab...
*Hit detection is wonky, even against heavy and assault mechs at times
*C-Bill nerf was completely unnecessary, especially because 12v12 matches already take longer by default (resulting in fewer matches/C-Bills per hour as it is)
*The fabled "design pillars" such as information + role warfare have been chiseled down to a stump or simply never constructed in the first place
*With things like CW and the Clans, it's clear that PGI has set their expectations a lot higher than their capabilities (or, to be a tinfoil hat, perhaps even lied since the beginning to entice founders)
*Severe lack of new game modes
*The top officials of PGI (such as Russ Bullock in particular) don't seem to have very solid reasoning behind the more recent decisions (also, Russ trolls too much for somebody who is supposed to be the CEO of Piranha Games)
*The dev's stubbornness to never back down from their self-invented ideas such as ghost heat, crit-seeking MGs, and hard-counter ECM as opposed to trying out some popular community ideas; basically it feels like their way or the high way
*The vast majority of MC items are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too expensive (whales ahoy!)
*Nubcakes are routinely thrown in with hardened veterans, and without even going through a tutorial first
*I may add to this list later

* Too hard and too boring for leveling so many mechs, there are no goals to spend the time playing and just two game modes
* Hardware requisites are too high for people who cant spend money upgrading their computers, like me.
* No possibilities to create tournaments and/or leagues so the game just became repetitive.
* Too few options for customization for poor players, and too expensive items.
* 3PV and others lies
* I have the feeling that PGI spend more time making changes to make money that making a better game.

there is no cost for repairs.
there is no cost in ammunition.

* heat system (high capacity and low dissipation)
* ghost heat (lower heat capacity and weapon tweaks would be more effective and simpler for both devs and players)
* mech scaling (heavy/assaut-sized mediums)
* hit detection
* hit boxes (broken spider, enormous catapult head, etc)
* weapon balance (can't even be done without hit detection)
* mech balance (too many garbage mechs due to hitboxes, hardpoints, scaling, etc)
* new movement (good direction but still needs work, causes my jenner to get stuck to walls constantly)
* coolant flush
* ecm (not as bad as it was but still awful)
* seismic
* 3pv (finally pushed me and most of my unit to quit)
* fog of war almost entirely removed by seismic and 3pv
* matchmaker (mixing highest and lowest elo is frustration for both)
* game modes
* no integrated voice chat (vaporware?)
* no community warfare (forever just over the horizon)
* no UI 2.0 (also forever just over the horizon)
* performance issues
* no DX11 (hopefully helps performance)
* no lobbies (I want to play with and against friends including duels)
* mc prices (paints/patterns far too expensive)
* maps (too few and most are terrible in both design and implementation)
* base capping (cap speed shouldn't stack with more mechs, losing teams shouldn't win because they stood in a square)
* pinpoint convergence
* instability (crashes, freezes)
* upcoming gauss change (making a weapon annoying to use because it's paired with another weapon?)
* extremely slow forums (often waiting over a minute for page loads)
* no collisions
I'm probably forgetting some things and some of this is expected in a beta but I have very little hope left for this game.

Reasons:
No CW - one of the "core pillars" about the game, we still don't have it
Upcoming gauss charge - helps to get more ppc's to the people
Weapon balancing - no meta game changes since the addition of the highlander
Mech scaling - at 3000m every centurion could be an atlas
3pv - well now that we have it, i don't like it
Lack of communication from devs - that was better at the transition from closed to open beta, today its just "GRAB DEAL"
No adddd game modes since conquest
Coolant flush debacle - never used it, dunno why its still in the game
LIES - well that goes with 3rd Personview, but also coolant flush was one

Poor weapon balance leading to one playstyle dominating for over half a year
Ghost heat, ghost damage, ghost delay, unintuitive new mechanics
Other new mechanics bolster the dominant playstyle and reduce viable alternatives (death of twin AC/20 builds)
Extremely unsatisfactory matchmaking that is unfair to new players and experienced pilots alike by creating teams with a few very-high and many very-low ranked players against a team of average players
Incredibly poor attitude towards dedicated players and absurd comments such as the "You're on an island" post.
Questionable development priorities
Lots of backtracking on very solid assertions (e.g. several threads denying ever having third person, coolant, etc) but a general hesitation to give hints of what is being investigated (e.g. "We're trying feature X")

*Bad weapon balancing that ostracize others
*Insane heat implementation
*Ghost heat's existence
*The hitboxes decides the viability of a model of mech.
*Where is my CW? The Clans were officially around February-March of 3050, we are in August, and we do a rollback and say that the next January 1, 2014 is 1 January 3050 or the idea of time 1:1 Real life : Inner Sphere is going to be ruined.
*Veeeeery severe lack of new game modes
*Lack of Lobbys
*The vast majority of MC items are too expensive, compared to other F2P games
*Lacks of Tutorial for new players. It is very hard to convince my friends to play a game so... arid without tutorial
*The lack of implementation of DX11 (although they say they will do soon)
*LIES
*LIES
*Have I told LIES yet? Errrrr... Just in case: LIES.
Look mommy I'm in the "minority"

Reasons:
a: Right now, this game is facing 180 degrees of what devs told me it was going to be when they asked for my support at the founders program.
b: There are a thousand bugs within the hit detection since the start and they haven't been adressed, or even recognized.
c: I have an I7 and two gtx460, and the code isn't able to reach 60 FPS at all, as Crysis 2 does.
d: The netcode is just a joke.

- Abysmal Community Management practices
- Dev time wasted on unneeded systems (ghost heat / ghost damage / ghost delay / 3pv)
- Dev time not spent on needed systems (A TUTORIAL FOR THE GAME / iterative playtesting / robust UI)
- Abysmal Community Management practices
- Poor mech size scaling decisions
- Lack of Role Warfare design
- Apparent PGI lack of long-term vision for how the game should play
- Lack of concrete PVP plans
- Lack of robust and intuitive UI system
- Artistic decisions
- Current game client stability

Because at this point I just don't care anymore. I am at stage 5 of the grief system, I accept that the relationship is over and I have moved on.
The Devs are busy making the game THEY want, not the game the community wants. As a community we have less voice in the development process than Russ's 10 year old that plays Lego games.

PS: Though shall see that this is my only posting in the forum I look to the right to show my opinions and I have also contributed my small part economic and move more to the Hispanic community forum that I have to go using google traslator there hehehehe

I pretty much went from playing 2 hours an evening. To about about a round or 2 every other night.

Graphic degradation
3PV introduced
Forced to play against above
Loss of sim qualities
Bandaid solutions on balancing
Removal of collisions and reintroduction put into limbo cyberspace mode
Poor communication and obvious disregard for founders opinion
Paradigm shift from we are creating an immersive sim to we are creating a game that is arcade in nature
Ghost heat
Upcoming guass change

Lies
Lack of communication between devs and community/ Devs ignoring the community more and more as time goes on, relying instead on a magic 8-ball it seems
Lies
Apparent lack of integrity (Russ's non-apology) and lack of professionalism (trolling/taunting)
Lies
Lying, Misinformation, Deception, and Oppressive Moderation campaign (I've definitely seen posts vanish that broke absolutely no rules and have seen mods intentionally provoke the community)
Lies
Consumable mess (Yeah, backpedaled on it but the trustworthiness of PGI came into question from that point on)
Lies
Bandaids (i.e. changing ac/2 timing instead of fixing the bug within the ghost heat system that is causing problems)
Lies
Forcing default options that are purely newbie traps
Lies
Removal of collisions instead of working on fixing them (devastated game balance despite the bugs)
Lies
Terrible implementation for ghost heat (not necessarily that there is some sort of penalty, just that its horribly done in game and fairly random... 3srm4=3srm6, AC/2 on the list at all... no ingame documentation or indication of the penalty) Would prefer Convergence change instead.
Lies
3pv without 1pv only
Lies
Loss of graphics quality over time on high end settings for the sake of low spec performance
Lies
Missed deadlines/goals by overly substantial margins (I've been quite patient with content release speed but taken together with everything else...)
Lies
No DX11 support
LIES
Not happy but understandably off(i.e. takes time, I get it):
Currently no mech resizing pass (though releasing new mechs without consideration of balance is rather messed up)
Gauss charge change instead of PPC charge up as has been suggested numerous times? (don't get why they chose the gauss instead of the PPC but don't really mind much)
General understanding of game balance seems off, changes are sweeping but far between instead of sensible, gradual, and frequent
Realized recently that most game balance issues stem from way the heat system is implemented at the core level and were magnified greatly once double heat sinks were added.

Things I'm actually happy about:
- The game is fun
- It looks and sounds awesome
- The community (in game/on TS3) is actually pretty cool
- Sometimes the development team gets things right (My HBK-4SP goes 98 kph now!)
Things I think could be better:
- Communication about upcoming features
- New player experience (front-end UI, tutorials, equipment stats tables, mech comparisons)
- Pricing for MC-only content
The things that are concerning to the point where if it gets a lot worse, I might quit:
- It appears that the fans that are most passionate about the game are the ones most upset ... if all of the BT/MW fans rage quit, who will be left for me to play with? Will they be as fun to play with as the guys I meet up with now?
- I really want to love this game ... but I worry that the long term goals and vision of the development team might significantly diverge from their original goals (yes, 3PV is significant, but so important that I'll quit playing).
