Theres no chance of CW in Sept Live Release if we haven't even had a developer video, sneek peak or even had it on the test server yet right?
I don't see why there should be much testing made on a system that simply takes your match results accounts them to your faction/unit and then displays it on a shiny Map interface. It's not like CW would come including a whole simulated War/Economy system running in the beackground creating certain Missions for two opposing sides to take on. After CW Phase 3 is here you will still just run Assault and Conquest on the same set of maps we have now. Only idfference will be the colour of your faction gaining more ground on a galaxy map. At best based on what planets you conquered using your matchpoints some mechs or weapons could be cheaper for your faction, or your XP or CBill gain could be increased.
Anyone expecting/seeking a serious metgame from CW will be utterly dissapointed I fear.

If I recall correctly, they said that they "will probably add it in", but they are want to give it a few weeks to see how things go with the current setup.
Honestly, I very much hope that they put the 1pv only mode in.

wow.
You know, I don't really mind 3PV that much, but has it occured to you that people are upset about 3PV because of the time that they spent implementing it...a camera mode which you yourself said "noone uses." Perhaps they would have rather seen the time spent working on already-promised game systems?
Anyways, maybe the world would be a better place if people weren't so passionate about criticizing people who criticize things. Oh, when will we ever learn?

14 months later the game is essentially the same.
No patch today? 4 weeks from the end of open beta and a bazillion issues to address?
Guess I’ll check back in another 14 months and see if anything is difference.
Maybe CW will be in testing…
Oh wait, I’ll be playing the full version of Star Citizen by then.

lol yea right... it´s all soooo easy... if i believe that,i wonder why some people around here don´t go out and make their own, perfect games to become the next rising star of the games industry...
seriously, if you´ve ever done the slightest bit of scripting, you know how much is behind such a "shiny" interactive map.. besides the fact that there will be alot more behind it , there will be a loyality points system (way before the actual map btw) a faction specific shop,a ranksystem, a lobby (yea i know, piece of cake, programmed within an hour lol) etc.etc. and that´s only the very basics that are NEEDED to make CW step2...
no problem for people who can code 1000 lines per hour, blindfolded and bugfree

I agree to an extent that 3PV should not have received the "priority" it did. That being said, I'm sure that their internal workings are arranged in such a way that they have multiple sub-teams working on multiple components. Who said it was the whole team working on 3PV and not say 1 or 2 people. In which case, the actual drain on resources would be minimal and since the feature itself is so easy to implement, would account for the speed at which it was implements in regards to other more critical features such as CW.

Surprised to see there's no content patch today, but then, I don't recall a Creative Director's update this month, so what do I know.

comparing 3PV with CW is not even in the slightest fair weighted... 3pv is nothing but a camera adjustment plus a small drone model. the only real challenge behind that is finding a camera angle that is considered "fair and functional"... not saying "no work",just not as much as some other things that might be more urgent...
CW? well read my post above...
so they bring in what they can achieve quickly, and keep the big stuff until it´s halfway polished... tbh... CW is THE one feature that will make MWO secial, make it different from other games... so it needs to be a great experience and not some rushed out sidefeature. it´s still a too small company for a too huge project. who would blame them? WE wanted that project to be even huger

September 3rd is supposed to be a patch. And there's only one more Tuesday after that before the Launch on the 17th.
So in a few weeks we should have the fabled UI 2.0. Which they've used as a reason for certain things not being implemented. After which I hope they follow through on those things.

There will likely be a post during the month of the launch (September). The previous Creative Director "update" covered the "Summer" besides the fact that Bryan was on vacation early July. I'm sure another "vacation" will delay the next update.

You have FAR more optimism than I do, and I'm a glass half-full kind of guy.
Maybe they will have a laundry list on Thursday of things they are pushing to the Test server. That would be nice to see.
Just slapping a shiny new UI on this and playing for mystical Loyalty points that don't do anything won't make it a better game though.

I for one play this game because I enjoy it...sure, it has it's faults like any normal "BETA" game but that is part of the charm of playing it. Does not matter to me if it's a minor update or an update that takes hours to d/l. I'll still play. Can't take away my love of playing...just sickens me to see all the cry-babies pi$$ing-and-moaning.
BUH-BYE
Bet you'll love it when they put in gold ammo and get rid of community warfare.
