It bothers me that the great boon they are touting with the cbill nerf is "if you die early, you can play with another mech and double your income!"
Which is the same as penalizing someone for playing well. If you play well and regularly survive you will "grind" (and iit is now a grind) less cbills then the player who dies in the first 3 min of battle.
Ok now i have one last project before i quit playing.
This weekend I'm going to play ******** as i can stand to on Saturday, playing to the best of my abilities, trying to win and live. I will record how much time i play along with my cbills earned and the amount of GXP i earn.
On Sunday i will play the same about of time, (if i am in the middle of a game when time runs out i will finish the match) and play as aggressively as possible not caring about damage done to me, when i am killed i will leave the game and immediately start a new match. again Play time , cbills GXP.
proof that playing poorly will get your more cbills then playing with skill, using their current cbill rewards.

What an August! We released some really big features in 12v12 and 3PV: Both have been a great success and delivered on our goals of adding more action, tactics, and deeper gameplay (12v12), while continuing to make the game appeal to a broader audience of gamers (3PV). After releasing 3PV we saw an immediate improvement in our target demographic, with a good bump in new player retention!
In other news, tractor production is up for the third straight month comrades!

I think you could probably write a book on how to ruin a good thing, and just use examples from MWO development.

To be honest, in game I come across only a couple players with those drones up...

For example:
If your Mech is destroyed to a roaming band of Jenners early on, you can jump out of that match and into a new one right away – potentially doubling your C-Bills to 1.2 million per hour! This cuts down your time to purchase new Mechs and equipment.
Not sure if that is blunt saying for a "go ahead" to suicide rush enemy lines early and quit or...?

Apparently a 276 page thread means very little in terms of user feedback.

The whole first paragraph, to be honest, sounds like terrible, terrible, propaganda. It's of the same calibre as good ol' soviet loudspeaker drivvle right after the occupation of central Europe.
In the future, please present your ideas and the way you communicate them in a way that doesn't sound as if it's written by a soul-less machine and put some enthusiasm in there whilst not sounding like a marching band held hostage.
Other than that, I am exicted to get more news about CW and all the other jazz.

The Word of Lowtax folks have actually been working pretty hard to improve the game.
I'm not one of them, by the way. Never have been. I find Anders communications extra fun to read also.
Yeah but it is not like PGI listen to #saveMWO ...

The core of MWO is fun, but all of the disingenuous assertions and passive aggressiveness towards their own community is ridiculous and quite unprofessional.
I've found the past month to be quite taxing as an MWO player. I really wish PGI would just say something that I agree with, think is good, and makes me happy. So far, they haven't.

Let's keep the kids out of this. Say what you will (within reason) regarding the mgmt, going after kids is never ok.

Of course wait a minute, maybe I should temper my enthusiasm since I seem to remember it was almost here once before. Oh that's right PGI isn't a fan of delivering on it's plans/promises
I would laugh at this if I wasn't crying.
I won't even bother posting all of the predictions for phases of Community warfare that were supposed to happen....sure glad you got that 3pv done, whew we would be in a horrible state without that.

It's been a year. If the game is allowed to survive another year, and I hope it does, you can rest assured that CW will likely still not be finished.

If you have nothing to show in numbers, you are hiding the fact that things aren't going well.
In PR and business speak, your success is usually measured with numbers you can spit out and claim as your own. The entire post does not mention it.. it only spoken with vague meaningless statements.
Anyone who has a brain also knows that when you mention "# of accounts" like in previous PGI announcements... they are equally meaningless. Some people create multiple accounts for various reasons. To make those #s known is next to worthless... the # of active players is a much more useful number despite potentials ways to inflate them (intentionally or unintentionally).
The math simply doesn't add up... except there's "nothing to show". Last I checked.... you have to show your work in upper level math.

I pretty consistently finish in the top 4, without premium or a hero mech and generally don't see anything below 110K unless it was a cap win only, so those numbers don't seem that inconsistent.
Edit: And perhaps your results have been different, I just know what I've seen thus far.
I usually finish in the top 2 or 3 on my team.... But they are telling people that is what the Average player is getting....that simply is not true.
I don't know what the average player is getting, or what PGI thinks is the average player, perhaps they think no skill is involved and it is all just a numbers game, play long enough and you will get 8 kills and 4 assists.
This "you're on an island" battle cry of PGI's always gives me a mental picture of a them cramped together into a tiny spaceship yelling down at everyone on the world 'You're on an island!' they also always misspell it as well as 'Your'.
Anyone who has talked to them and said anything that wasn't complete praise has heard those word's uttered lol

Complaints aren't due to the fact that people want the game driven into the ground - your backers want it to succeed, they wish it, they dream of it - we've waited years for Mech Warrior. We get that games take time to grow and build up to something, that's good - its the decisions thus far that have totally created more massive problems than have existed in any other Mech Title. There is no escaping that fact.
And as far as the "policy" why would you state that in a developer update - like what? If there are people threatening employees than take action against them in the background. I don't believe for a second that serious level-headed backers of this game who are in their late 20s, 30s, or 40s are sending threats to PGI/IGP. If anything it is probably kids or trolls who scour these forums, latch onto a hot topic, and are sending things to Devs to get a rise out of them.
