Its whats going to prevent new people from sticking around. Its whats going to force solo people who have been playing a while from sticking around.

Your founders are NOT going to carry this game into the future! They are the vocal minority but not the future! (Yes founders thanks for getting this game going, but your "QQ because we want to lolerstomps on 3rd party comms in OP builds have got to go")


The elo as it is set up now is ridiculous! 1 Person can carry a team and everyone else on the team will get higher elo because of it. Then get put in brackets they have no business being put in.

3rd party voice needs to be banned and a MWO voice system needs to be put in place.. Or at the very least, give a voice chat option that connects everyone on a team with each other IN GAME!


J*C the list goes on and on. Stop trying to balance for the QQ founders and balance the game for the majority! If the founders are the majority, you need to think twice about how long this game is going to last and how great it can really be.

LOLERstomp after LOLERstomp.... being a solo player, winning lolerstomps IS JUST AS BORING AND FRUSTRATING AS LOOSING THEM!

you should send a email suggestion to punkbuster to add TS, vent, mumble onto thier banned list for all games.

4 mans shouldnt be allowed in the queue. At most it should allow groups of 2-3.

I've been begging for a solo queue for a long time. 4+ mans shouldn't be allowed to mix with the general population.

TS is fine in the game but he has a point......pgi should have a ingme voice chat system.

Having friends to play with is the only reason I still drop at all. If that gets taken away, I'd leave immediately.

Im fine with that.

I am not fine with you and 5+ of your friends dropping against solo/pug players and lolerstomping.

Here we go again. I'll give you that in 8vs8 a four man premade may of in fact tilted the odds in their team's favor. However, in 12 vs 12 , the story is quite different. Even a four man team can not help if the other eight members of their team are not responsive to the situation as the game unfolds. A full pug 12 man that pays attention to what is going on and the composition of the other team can beat even a strong coordinated 4 man premade. A big issue is that many pug groups continue to use the same **** poor tactics over and over. For example: In Canyon at the "Sigma" spawn point. You know the enemy team is going to come down through D4 and D5 along the river. Yet instead of setting up and preparing for them in C5, C4, and B4 your team heads to the right or down the center canyon towards the enemy base. This always ends in one of two ways, either the enemy team caps your base, or catches you in the lower ground areas.

Same thing on Frozen City, River City and Terra Therma. Each time you enter one of those maps, it is already decided how the team will go before the match starts. Now a well prepared 4 man can use that knowledge and work with a solid pug team to stomp the other. On the flip side, a good pug group can have one person that thinks along the lines I've stated and sets the team on the proper course. It's not the premades, or the elo system, that's at fault. It's the single minded idea of the pugs themselves that cause them to get rolled everytime. And before you say anything about it, yes I have ran in both circles and have had both end results in those circles. Stop blaming premades and the game system for your inability to adapt.

This SO MUCH.

The fastest way a mech dies in this game is not 2PPC/Gauss in and of itself, it's when that is combined with someone saying "Focus Fire Charlie", and a 140 point alpha arrives on that mech.

No Elo multiplier for groups (which they should consider if they stick with combined queues), can really compensate for a large group coordination vs solos.

It's not good for the groups either in the long run really, they get an inflate elo they dont really deserve.

ELO wasn't really designed for group performance measurement anyway.

No, it wasn't. Arpad Elo developed it for chess. That's why it doesn't work for any video game.

I think you're attributing it to the wrong thing. It's not having groups dropping in the same queue as solo players, it's that the matchmaker does practically nothing to balance it. If you have a premade of 4 dropping on one side you should ideally balance it with another premade of 3-5 on the other team. Elo balance is ineffective. If a group drops it needs to not find a match unless there's a group on the other side. This will likely lead to longer queue times for them but that's the price of group play.

You're attacking the problem all wrong.

Now that the queue for Hardcore mode is dead, maybe they can add a Solo PUGs only queue!

LOL yep. I'm a founder and I actually support his view point for the most part. Larger the group that shares information, more effective they are. after about 2.. maybe 3, it's really hard for a non-communicating group (not because they dont want to.. it's because there is no in-game facility to) compensate. 4 man and up TS is probably the most OP thing in the game right now.

Ok, maybe its just me, so if it is, I'll take the flamer sabot...But every time I log onto these forums someone is QQing about something new. 2PPC/Gauss is OP, 3PV is OP, 1PV is OP, PGI is OP, SRMs are OP, MGs are OP, Yeti's are OP and now.....now Voice Chat is OP? Please tell me that I missed the [sarcasm] [/sarcasm] brackets on this post? How on Gods' Green Earth is Voice chat OP? What because we can communicate via voice? I know its a tad slower but a few keystrokes can accomplish the same thing. [y] "Focus Fire C" [Enter] and done. Or before everyone fires off their weapons in the air at spawn, how about someone takes command in the command menu and start using commands, reorganizing lances that sort of thing. How about 2 minutes of strategy. I know there are tools that want to go off and do their own thing, but most people PUGs included want to win and are willing to listen to anyone with half a plan, as long as it isn't movement order: go to Mt Dhoom. Defend order: Defend Mt. Dhoom Excution order: Die in place...lolerstomp. Voice chat is not OP...Teams are not OP. [/soapbox]

Yep. Hence my "use a ELO multiplier or something" for the groups. Having a high enough multiplier will nearly ensure there's a near equal group on the otherside since unmultiplied solos wont be able to match the combined ELO.


Even then tho, that match will probably be only good for the groups.
