You know, the more I think of it the more this poll angers me. In fact, I find the way it's been deliberately set up to trick people into giving PGI the answer they want instead of an honest poll of the community's desires completely and totally offensive on every possible level. This is con-man behaviour not worthy of anyone with a shred of ethics, and it really gets up my nose entirely the wrong way.

Check my posting history if you like, PGI. You'll find that 99 percent of the time I've defended you, so do not write me off as some impossible to please "my way or the highway" type, but this? This is completely and utterly indefensible.

If you don't agree to this, the only way to show it is to remove your vote.

While i mostly agree with you ( i still wish they just remove 3PV and put it on training grounds) i voted YES because:

1- I don´t believe they will completely remove 3PV especially after saying that player numbers are increasing.
( So this would be like the lesser evil).

2- This Poll is also an opportunity to show how people overwhelming vote against 3PV in a game mode.

Nobody is asking for 3pv to be removed (well, not many). Most just want the option of playing without 3pv.
As for your second point, i can see your position, but if you do that you're also voting for hardcore to be removed.

Of course it's your choice.

But does voting yes mean there will never be hardcore mode for pugs?

I'm not trying to tell you how to vote, I'm just trying to tell you what you're voting about:

• Yes, 12v12 should be 1PV only AND all other game modes should be mixed 3PV/1PV AND Hardcore mode will be removed.
  
• No, 12v12 should not be 1PV only, like all other game modes it should be mixed 3PV/1PV AND Hardcore mode will be removed.

See, those two are the options; either way you vote, you're saying you want all other game modes to be mixed and Hardcore mode to be removed.

If you're not okay with this, your only option is NOT to vote, optionally making a post stating that you've abstained because the options don't describe your feelings on the matter.

The problem is, no matter if you vote yes, no, or not at all, PGI can interpret the result as they like – majority for yes means that it's ok to have only 12v12 with 1PV, no means that no one is against 3PV and if no one votes, that means that we don't even have enough support/interest against 3PV for restricting it in 12v12-play.

That's pretty much what this poll says yes. Basically they're saying with the text in the original post that a yes vote means we are voting yes to hardcore mode in 12 v 12 and yes to no hardcore mode anywhere else. It's a very sneaky and underhanded way of conducting a poll, and something you often see in politics when someone wants to get something unpopular passed.

Exactly this, this poll has me so angry with PGI.

1. you vote yes = You are happy with 3pv in every other game mode, apart from 12v12.
2. you vote no = You want 3pv in 12v12 as well
3. you abstain from voting = you could not be bothered to cast a vote.

No matter what you want for 3PV with this poll you have given PGI the answer they wish to see. They can now no matter what concerns you put forward with 3PV, can state that they have given a choice to the community and that was their decision.

Just to be clear some of us founders are ******** because all of the marketing material, and interviews with gaming journalism, and even the damn front page of this website say "First person game". This is what was represented before we could buy our founders packages. I would not have contributing to funding a 3pv mechwarrior game so this is a bait and switch. I am all for letting them change their vision but when they change fundamental design pillars (this is what they call them) they should show they have integrity by allowing people who bought in on the basis of those design pillars 'change' their support level.

Also I too have deleted my yes vote because they already know damn well what the community wants:


This is just bryan mortgaging the rest of his soul to try and claim that 3pv was supported by the community everywhere but in 12man... BS question is BS.
