Lets are how fast they release the marauder when the reviewers start posting about all the issues of this game

Oh boy! And when the community start to posting about all PR.

Quote

Rule IV: Don't Underestimate Your Community

The power of a community is both huge and impressive. A common mistake is to underestimate what a community can do for you or against you, and therefore not invest enough in community tools and community personnel.
Making this mistake can lead you to miss some of your biggest support when it comes to media, testing, moderation, and many other things. It can also lead to an angry community. You don't want to see 5,000 angry players posting in all the gaming forums they know that you don't care about your community.

I support more Medium Mech Madness. Just recently ordered the add-on for Project Pheonix. More diversity in Medium Mechs will encourage players to play smaller, more tactical machines instead of min/maxing armor or speed. And yes, the Griffin looks pretty gnarly (one of the few Star League era Mechs to follow Kerensky into Exile, too).

I was speaking more about the video game vs TT

If you don't think that the Saber pack was planned from the start, which it obviously was and was just poor timing with all the {Scrap} that is going on in the forums, you might wanna invest some more points in your INT score.

No way bro!

It's called a joke
PGI thinks we're idiots
They had this and the community unlocks planned from the start
The same way ATD is the exact same as it was before they selected from the "top voted questions"
They want us to think we matter, but in the end they can cherry pick answers and make every call regardless of our input and feedback

Looking at these mechs and some of the communities contributions has me thinking of cool looking mechs. I couldn't help but suddenly think of Front Mission. Anyone remember the original game or mechs for that matter?

Also, this made me think of why Hawken felt so familiar.. can't believe I never linked it to front mission. Clearly a rip, albeit a good one at that.

1. I'm quite sure in PGI's eyes we are idiots. People are idiots, after all. I think real life is full of them, what makes you thinkI feel any differently about gaming communities? I'm sure I am far from the only person who feels this way.

2. We do matter, that is, WE matter. As an individual you can say or do as you want, but you are just ONE person, and you don't matter. WE on the other hand are many, which is why PGI is doing what they think is best for WE, because unlike YOU, WE matter, and YOU don't. And if you don't understand what I mean, don't worry about it.

3. Whats wrong with cherry picking questions? You think they are avoiding certain questions because they CAN'T answer them? Lawl, yeah right, more like they don't want to because it will reveal something they don't want to reveal yet, or it's not worth their time. I'd cherry pick the questions too if I was incharge, time is money, and you can only say somuch about so much without saying something you shouldn't, or talk about something you don't want to reveal, and why waste time on anything else that is not relevent to what is currently going on in the game, and what is in the imminent future? Just saying.

Look, this is a game(yes, a game! Not real life, and most certainly NOT the end of the world as quite a few people will make it out to be), and a really great one, despite the fact that I disagree with PGI on a lot of things they do, they have taken this game and made it really awesome over the last few months, and it's just going to get better.

I fully support this game, and want it to succeed, and going around bashing PGI is NOT going to do that. I guess if you want to see the game fail, sure go ahead, bash it, try to convince people to not pay money on the game, or to even play it. However if thats all your doing, maybe you should think about going out and meeting people, making some friends, and even try getting laid, you know getting out of the basement and into the sunlight won't kill you.

Very nice, I'm a medium pilot after all but I don't like the Shadowhawk or the Locust, therefore I'm not going to buy the 20+30$ package.

Whats wrong with cherry picking questions is that they are able to avoid the tough questions, questions the community wants answered
You're an ***** for thinking I want to see this game fail considering all my disgust for PGI is directly related to the fact they are mutilating the Mechwarrior IP
Saying "we matter" is a two way street
You think that what you consider the community matters more than what I consider the community?
I didn't know that founder's badge you have there was a "my opinion matters more" badge
Assuming I'm a basement dwelling virgin is awfully one dimensional of you, but that's not surprising considering the one dimensional arguments you've just tried to make.
And once again, Mr. I'msuperiortoyoubecauseIdisagreewithyou
It's called a joke
Acquiring a sense of humor might help you yourself get laid

What were you just saying about how "WE"( the majority) matter and "You" (individuals) don't?
Nice deflection from the fact I called out your arrogance

I'm tied up in Paul's "Clown Room," and he has all my credit cards....one false move and the clowns will certainly gnaw on my flesh.

Yes, I said gnaw on my flesh. ^_^

The mechs look awesome. Im just a little sad that i just cant bring myself to spend money just yet, not eith so many issues they have to sort first, namely HSR and the forced 3PV issue. Until that is settled, ill gladly throw my hardearned cash for those mechs.

Really, i just dont understand how PGi is too stubborn to realised that if they would just separate the queues, sooo many people would probably buy these attractive packages. I can understand HSR taking a while to solve but separate qs is something they can probably implement in weeks, if not much less! Why are they unnecessarily sabotaging their own financial gains is just beyond me....

No PGI and IGN, you won't trick me into buying a third package.

Get your game and especially your basic game mechanics (HSR / hit reg, movement code, lobby) right and running and i might consider spending money again. But for now your informations, patch and balance philosophy has brough me to a point, where no matter the offer you won't see any more money from me.

As much as I like the Wolverine and the Griffin (the other Phoenix mechs - not so much), the current state of the game doesn't justify paying anything.

Stay calm and sit tight, I just called the rodeo, and they said they would be by in the next 5 hours to pick their clowns up.

PGI doesn't need to negotiate with Harmony Gold to bring the rest of the "Unseen" to MWO; HG owns the rights to the original artwork but not the mechs/loadouts/layouts/technical specifications. PGI simply needs to decide "Ok, we are gonna do this. Alex, sharpen your pencils and get to redesigning these mechs".

The problem with doing this is that, while there are no legal ramifications, the player community would be split in half; half of us be rising up in arms saying "but this isn't the officer glaug battle pod of super awesomeness of my childhood" and the other half would be like "yeah thats okay. I can live with it".

Whilst the unseen, those we have before us in these packages, are great they aren't nearly as iconic as the Archer, Warhammer, Marauder and Rifleman (which we already received in the form of the Firebrand LOL). To present these four icons of MechWarrior/Battletech, and get them wrong, could potentially have major backlash.

I applaud Russ and Bryan for treading carefully here. My Marauder is sacred and the mods and devs tease me about this constantly. I warily sit and sharpen my pitch fork and bind my torches in case the day comes that they do come out. That being said I do have a little money stashed away in the event that these mechs ever do come out.

Have you seen shimmeringswords "Unseen Moon"? These all pretty much fit the bill IMO in being close to the originals while still being nice redesigns - I imagine anything close to this wouldnt get anyone up in arms (fanbase wise at least) ;p

I can't take this much longer... please; get Alex to work on the Marauder! Or take this one, that's very fine too. I'd even buy it if it is titled "Overpriced Marauder Package" and PGI slaps a three-digit pricetag on the MAD alone...
