Looks cool.

But too much money and it's pretty sad you HAVE to have already bought 1 package before you can even access another.

I'm willing to bet this was planned all along (it's called a business plan guys, not some crazy conspiracy because 'You made them scared').

But in the end I'll stick with my Overlord.

I just spent $25 on some Battletech sourcebooks Monday. If I'd known this was coming I would have put that money towards this. Hopefully the upgrade sticks around long enough for me to get the spare money to grab it again.

The value on Project Phoenix just keeps adding up for those of us still interested in playing the game. On top of that, I get the added value of spiting all the haters.

Man there are some seriously grar people in this community. It's a good deal on more cool mechs! Not everything is a cynical cash grab! Developers are human too, and that level of bile really does start to wear after a while.

That said- I dropped $80 on the Overlord package and while I would happily buy ALL THE MECHS, I am concerned about where the game is going. I've not asked for a refund, but... these mechs won't be available for months and launch is already looking so shaky. I just can't justify spending any more.

Too many mediums coming in lately... just because you put more mechs in doesn't mean more will use mediums... also give us our crab!!!

Id like the Crab as well. But as with the Cannon, the Medium platform is the most represented on the Battlefield, as well as the number of over all designs.

Here is the break down: (numbers from Sarna. Does not include Ultralights)

Total Mech Designs: 523 (Clans & IS from the creation of the Battlemech through the Dark Age)

(Numbers rounded)
Lights: 124 - 24%
Mediums: 150 - 29%
Heavies: 137 - 26%
Assaults: 112 - 21%

Number of Delivered Mechs in MWO (meaning playable now, not announced)

Lights: 4 - 20%
Mediums: 6 -30%
Heavies: 5 - 25%
Assaults 5 - 25%

The aberration here is the Assaults with a higher number then in Cannon.

I don't have time to look at the number for announced, but I will bet they will fall along the same lines, with Assault ratio getting smaller over time. (Yes, this is a hypothesis, not a fact)

Ok math guys....please check my work! (As I'm sure you will :P )

No thanks.

I bet this was more of an IGP pushing PGI to do this than anything else. "We have a goal to keep and our monthly revinue took a huge hit due to all these refunds. Lets offer more stuff! Bleed em dry!"

<Insert new Hitl*r video here>

Best of luck to those players that buy this package you are keeping this game free for me and everyone else that refuses to spend until PGI gets their act together.

Awwwwww yeah. Amazing work, fellas. :P

As a medium lover first and foremost, this is all good in my eyes. I'd be lying to say I want the Griffin almost more for the cockpit than anything else!

Look forward to grabbing these soon. Keep up the good work!!

I am getting this one... but the chicken little crowd is starting to win me over. Without some substantial changes in the near future, I don't think I will continue to support MWO until I do see some changes made.

When you compare the Shadow Hawk to the Wolverine and Griffen, I'm not convinced the 2 new mechs are worth an additional $30.

All 3 have the same engines, same speeds, same module slots, same armor (same max armor?), all are jump jet capable, and all are 55 tons. So what exactly does the Wolverine and Griffen bring to the table that's new? Hardpoints? The Griffen's hardpoints are a joke, 3 missiles in the right torso and 3 lasers in the right arm...talk about putting all your eggs in one basket. There's nothing that the Griffen has that the Kintaro or Trebuchet can't already do.

On paper, the Wolverine is almost the exact same as the Shadow Hawk except the distribution of hard points. The only significant difference being that the ballistics are in the left arm of the Wolverine instead of being housed in the side torso as in the Shadow Hawk. Otherwise these 2 mechs are functionally identical expect for the jump jets where the Wolverine has a max of 7 and the Shadow Hawk has a max of 3. Is that enough to convince you to shell out $30?

These mechs look freaking sweet. I for one can't wait for the Developer Reinforcement Package which will balance the game.

Can one of the mods clarify on whether this package is only available as long as the Phoenix Preorders are available, or if I'll still be able to buy it down the line sometime before the 'Mechs release in December?

I really hope I can feel better about the future of the game before the promotion ends. I want to throw money at the game, but it's a tough sell with the current community management.

That is where I am sitting. I have lost faith in PGI's ability to work with the community. I am at the point right now that I will be happy if this game makes it to October so the PHX stuff can be delivered... and I will be utterly shocked if it makes it to December for the Add-On. I am going to need to see some turn around on PGI's part before I hand over any money.

The timing is crazy! LOL, with that said....and finally a dev response that isn't poking
the community with a sharp stick, of course I will probably by it....LOL. God I feel dirty.

How much time you given us on this one?..I noticed it will be delivered in mid December.

Every time I hear someone say "I'm voting with my wallet" and "that is it I am leaving" they come out with something new that looks pretty awesome and I can't help but be reminded of....
