So the K2 should have 1 PPC?

2 Things....for me two nogoes!
1. Gauss- Nerfed to useless.
Why the Hell is this the only Balistic with a Charge now? Where is the sense?
To avoid the Combination with PPCs or ERPPCs!? The PPC Nerf is now hard enough! But to destroy the Gauss no reason! AT ALL!
You will see that almost everybody will skip the Gauss and build in a AC/10....that´s what happen.
2. Walking by Engine....
That´s not infecting the Gameplay, but it just look ugly and rediculous. When i see at start "Jogging" Assaults, pls really? This coudln´t be your real meaning how Assaults should walk.
This is ment as constructive critism, not more not less!
btw. Thanks for Advanced Zoom.
Greetings slime

The new heat is still manageable, just need to chain fire the ERPPCs but switching to standard PPCs allows me to alpha without melting.
Advanced Zoom Module is beautiful!!
It is now almost a must on every sniper build.
Meanwhile, my BJ1 Gaussjack still need some getting used to, but she is not broken by the GR de-syn.
Agreed, As I have said before, ran around in the testing grounds playing with my Gauss-Back, took some getting use to but I got it down rather quick. Then took it into a match, did fine, I have no real complaints. Oh, also, my second match I was in my Phract 4X with 2x AC2s and 2x AC5s sense I am grinding it out and got into a fight with a PPC+Gauss mech in a brawl and I actually won. I was filled with so much joy.

So what would that make the PPC+Gauss alpha meta then?

Insta-kill twitch-shooting with PPC's and gauss sounds way more like CoD gameplay to me, if we're going to try to use this ridiculous metaphor.
And hypothetically, why is everyone using "exactly the same set up" with brawler builds worse than everyone using the same setup with alpha snipers?

That looks like a build from the BattleTech game I grew up loving. Bring it on, I would welcome it.

So people would stop bringing sniper rifles to knife fights
Except that MWO isn't a knife fight, or they wouldn't have ranged weapons and melee fighting would have been a priority. MWO is about position and ranged fighting, though what range the combat takes place at depends on the pilots and the weapons they choose.
So, the people bringing sniper rifles were certainly valid, whereas those who brought knives and not the know-how to use them needed to remember the Indiana Jones Rule.

So you guys really want to know, why the gauss was nerfed? Well it's a high damage, longrange, low heat weapon. It got a higher velocity now, so you almost hit exactly where you aim. I tried the new gauss for some drops on my victor and I quickly got used to the mechanic. Overall I think it's a good decision.
I'm also fine with the changes for the PPCs. My Awesome is a little bit sad now, but I will adjust and make it work again. Already had some games with three regular PPCs and it's kinda cool. I have to watch my step now, but for the sake of brawling it's a good thing.

Ppc's are supposed to have a real minimum and of course they and er ppcs are hot. They are supposed to have those disadvantages. They will still be useful in skilled hands, and it makes Large and er large lasers a little more desireable. And Gauss is no longer such a mediocre weapon. Hopefully it will only explode when it is destroyed while fully charged.
Which means putting on a medium won't be such a risky proposition. Good looking patch PGI. Let's see how it plays.

Okay. But what happens when EVERYONE rolls in the same build? Everyone's a sniper? That's the only way to play just because YOU think it should be that way? No. You do not dictate how I play, nor how anyone else plays. Nor do I. So nerfing the {Scrap} out of PPCs and Gauss was absolutely a brilliant stroke. My mediums are fun to play again. I don't have to "can't beat em, join em" anymore. And the tears of the vags is fueling my stomping in their face spree.
Good work PGI. My faith in you is ALMOST restored. Now let's see how you handle clans, clan mechs and tech, Community Warfare and UI2.0.

1. the hold to charge makes it a weapon i must have on my mouse key cause i cant hold a keyboard key and coontrol my mech for the simple reason that the Computer does not accept command if you press too many keys it would be ok if it was press to charge, press to fire (like i expected it to be) because atm it ruins the gauss for me if i want to use it as secondary wepon in my mech which is not on the arms bit in the torso and is not bind on an easy to hold key
2. the time you it is ready to fire should be longer now you cant aim at an light mech on it no matter of distance cause you dont have the time to aim correctly especially if you dont have an extremely expensive mouse and extremely good reaction times with click to fire this was no issue cause i always could lead with it good even when running at 100kmh with my Dragon cause i decided when i fired not an mechanic that causes huge delays or unnecessary button holding (which is extremely annoying at 100kmh)
3. the beloved teammates, with click to fire you could easily fire before any stupid teammate of yours jumped infront of your guns now you cant cause you have to wait nearly a second which is a lot of time for your teammates doing something like jumping infront of your guns so you cant fire off the shot you carefully aimed sometimes i even hear my gauss crying to release it in the back of the beloved Teammate so he learns his lesson
4. it changed didnt change Much on the Gauss/PPC thing that was done moslty due to heat increase of the PPCs but it will not take long until certain people will use makros to achive same things as before ignoring the charge time due to makro waiting to fire ppc and gauss that second..... (and aiming out that difference is no problem)
