In my Protector, I net around 150k per match with my build(More atm since I'm burning my Phoenix prime time before clans hit. 210-310k), in the Fluffy hamster build I made, you can easily do 100-120k average per match with some games pulling up higher. On losses, well, I forget about those and move to the next game.

I even managed to take out a certain Pretty Baby with this same build earlier tonight.

my last match in my Kohrion (removed the SRMs for one more ton of AC10 ammo and 2 std heat sinks) I did around 200 damage with 8 assists (and ffs the final heat overload blew me up >.>)

Trust me on this. I wreak havoc in this mech. I call it the Shotgun setup.

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...99330e50af64dcb

SRM6 x3
LB10X
Large Laser x2

The ER Large Laser produced too much heat, and wasn't needed for during long range encounters the LL had enough range and the arms were too low to try and avoid getting hit myself. Bad trade-off. SRM6 and LB10X are medium range shotgun blasts that absolutely destroy anything within 300 meters. The full heavy armor had to be transitioned more towards the front, since I would rely on those Face-to-Face encounters to deal maximum damage, while those weapons also prove effective for Bug Extermination (light mechs) so all I had to do was grind up 2 other variants, then grind the Orion M up to Elite and the thing was as mobile as a Medium mech, while having more firepower than most Assault mechs.

It works. I use all these weapons, I rarely die without expending the majority of my ammo, never had an ammo explosion since the arms never get touched. Even if I run out of ammo, which I rarely do (the amounts were adjusted over time) I still have those Large Lasers, infinite, good damage, good range.

Protective Brawler
This is my main Orion build. The LB10X and AC5 combo is this 'mechs main source of DPS while the medium pulses and large laser provide a bit of extra firepower. Has a low alpha, but the DPS has proven time and time again to be devastating. Plus if your heat is high, the LB10X and AC5 generate less heat than what the 'mech can vent.

ON1-K Brawler

Swap the LRMs out for some SRMs if you like, I'm still tweaking it and prefer to have the ranged capability to keep busy during the opening phases of the match.

Was rocking this which is simply brutal in close quarters.. Love it.

What about this for a brawler build?
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...e7124d5cef980ec

Seems cheap, seems durable (with full armor) and decently armed?

I'd go with something a bit more like this...

ON1-K-Cute Brawler, with Rainbow Ponies
or
ON1-K-Rainbow Ponies with BAP

Use the ER Large laser for ducking around corners or hitting from long range on maps like Alpine while you are still closing. It sucks being the lone duck that marches to the fight because he can't fight unless close range. Once you get in close, unleash Rainbow colored lasers of DEATH on them. Oh, and AC/20+SSRM them when they get close.

The build I worked with posted above (LB10X, SRM6 x3, Larger Laser x2) just had a very good day.

I just almost closed the tab on my build after seeing the one that moves 80kph with ~70 firepower. Here is though:

you can change the MPL's for normal ML's and get a 345 engine for more speed

You can also use this:
[smurfy]http://mwo.smurfy-ne...aa683edb1dd203c[/smurfy]

Its great for close range brawling and for breaking your enemies face and its also Heat Efficient enough alowing you to deal great amout of damage.
Since it is slow but well armored and armed it acts like half heavy half assault and you will become a zombie many times because everyone will shoot your ST most of the times.

Got enough cash stashed away for when the Marik sale comes around for the M and K.

Planning on running this:

ON1-K
Might up-gun it to an AC20 if the heat isn't too bad.

ON1-M
Might have to experiment with this one a bit, having the SRM launchers split across the mech might cause the shots to scatter a bit.

I've been running the champion ON1-K. Currently have AC/20, LLas and LPL with a STD 320. Very effective and fun mech.
