Trust me Hm and others are not P2W they are unique and you earn a little bonus that's it.

Not saying it is. Just saying that if the HM could mount an AC20 it might be. When the Miseries came out I made it a point to hunt them down in my 733C (which I was Mastering out at the time). I didn't always win, but no one came out of those confrontations in condition able to screw with anybody else.

Let's face it devs you are nerfing too much to make the game varied. Just more generic builds all the same no variety you listened to the whiners go OP OP OP well right now spiders are more dangerous than an atlas and whatever you did rubber banding and hit detection is gone crazy bad.

I played with a Gauss last night. No, it's not gimped. It still hits for 15 damage atmedium to long range. It just sucks to try to take snap shots at Spiders.

And no, no refund. I own the X-5, Flame, Ilya-Muromets, Protector, Heavy Metal.

To all the people who are complaining their master plan of using the Gauss Rifle as a short range weapon is ruined because of the changes.
You are all idiots.

To all the people complaining that the changes ruined the Gauss Rifle for long range combat.
You need to L2P.

You need to L2P.

Maybe you can convince your targets to stop moving while you charge your Gauss, I am not so silver tongued.

I'm used to hitting moving targets, at range, with things like the AC/5 and AC/2 which require you to follow the target, rather than wait for them to cross your reticule.

Try a fast firing AC and see if the Gauss is still hard to hit with afterwards.

Perhaps you missed it, but I actually swapped out the Gauss on my CN9-A for an AC2 (I also tried AC5 and UAC5 before I settled on the AC2). Because I can actually hit with an AC2. Hell, I've been using twin AC5s on my K2 since December or January. SO, yeah, the problem isn't waiting for them to stumble into my reticule, the problem is that they do not oblige my need for them to maintain their current heading, speed, and lack of cover while I charge the Gauss.

So let me ask you why it's so hard tracking a target for 0.75 seconds with your gauss, while you have no issue tracking a target during the 0.5 second cooldown of your AC/2?

How many of you dished out $30 plus dollars to acquire this mech based on knowing how the Gauss rifle worked.

My main load outs were 3 llas + Gauss / 3 mplas + 2 srm 6 + Gauss.

I personally feel deflated that this mechs main weapon is NERFED!

HGN ac20 VS HGN Gauss ....who wins in close range and what does more damage.

This needs to be fixed I feel like an MC refund please only Heavy Metal / Dragon Slayer / Misery pilots need answer.

Posted Image

It is also the dragon slayer and Misery that were sold with Gauss more MC NERFED!

Pfft.. Who cares about the Gauss! I'm missing a RT energy hard point on my Metal according to the pic!!

Because the cool down isn't the problem, it's lining up the initial shot. Especially with AC2, once I get a shot lined up I can just open up. But it seems to take me around 0.8 to 1.1 seconds to line up the shot. Maybe I'm too exacting?

That's a valid point, with the faster fire rate of the AC/2 and AC/5 a missed shot matters less than with the nearly 5 sec cooldown of the gauss.

You could try pairing the gauss with an AC/2 to use for tracer fire essentially, since the AC/2 and Gauss have the same projectile speed.

That's very tonnage intensive. And just plain impossible on many mechs (like my CN9-A).

Ah, I never run a Gauss on anything that light, I run it only on mechs 65 tons or more. I find the explosion and low armor values don't mesh well with the gauss and my play-style.
You could try transitioning to the AC/10, it's not quite as good at range but is much better DPS and weighs 3 tons less.

Already use AC10 on my CN9-D, it'd feel too much like the same mech.

Why should only hero mech owners get refunds? If you bought a HGN-732 and used gauss as your primary, why should you not get a refund? Oh wait, you shouldn't. Should Ilya pilots get refunds because the UAC/5 gets nerfed? No! They should use other weapons! Stupid poll is stupid.

I need feedback from hero mech pilots.

I have an ilya muromets and i've been using his stock weapons for a long time....very nice build.....i tryed gauss before and didn't like them but now with the new charging time i can concéntrate more on my accuracy and need less ammo because i make every shot count. See the Little squares around your corshair ?....the one with your gauss will turn Green when ready so is not that hard to get used to it. Only problema i found is you'll have to say bye bye to any one shot big damage alpha stikes with gausses. **: it took me 5 seconds to get used to gauss charging. :(
