Yes.

Very much. Yes.

I would argue it is complete, and definitely worth purchasing if very long range sniping is your thing.

Can someone post screens maybe? I dont need the old one, just the new one. In fact, for anyone curious for a side by side, use this as reference:

[___....__]
[__...o....]
[___::..::_]

(thats an awesome locked in your sights btw :D )

Oddly, it's clearer in lower settings, but this is in the higher graphic settings:

Normal Zoom:

Max Normal Zoom:

With Zoom Module:

And just in case you didn't see the target (as it is too far away to lock, lol):

Sniping just got a little harder- and a little easier at the same time. :(

(EDIT: Working on low settings versions at this moment)

And once again if you had difficulty seeing the target:

It's definitely an improvement.

I don't have screens. How about a video?

Testing ground, of course. It's good enough fidelity to work with now.

I want to make a qUiCkSc0P3~m0nTaG3 using this.

I have found it particularly difficult to put into practice, however.

It's like this last patch has been really good on all fronts for me. I'm glad they gave me an invite to their launch party after a patch like this so I have positive stuff to talk about instead of just dumping everything I don't like on them over beer!

:(

It's awesome now. Only took a couple hundred years, but Advanced Zoom module finally works.

Now I just gotta brush the dust off the one I have and figure out which mech i want to keep it in. :(

there are still 2 problems with advanced zoom

1: Mouse sensibility doesn't decrease when using the module, making it difficult to get a perfect shot

2: the targeting square is more of a detriment than anything else. They should simply add a red lining around the mech profile so you know who you have targeted.

1: I could see that being a good addition in the future.
2: Could you clarify what you mean? I don't agree with what I think you are saying here. (But rather than go straight to "no you're wrong" I want to make sure I know what you're saying.)

well, the target square is a big detriment when using advanced zoom. I usually hit the target button again to make sure I don't have those squares on the target I want to shoot. If the game could instead make the silhouette of the mech red, so you know it's a) you're target and b ) an enemy and not an ally, it would be easier to use. I don't really know how to describe it better, blame it on the language barrier (not a native english speaker :(). It still would have to be subtle, otherwise it would be another detriment to target someone in while "advanced zooming".

I don't like the idea of silhouetting the target because it **** the shooter in a style similar to world of tanks, where camouflage was simply an aesthetic..

Meh, it's still not PIP. And mouse sensitivity still screwed. And we still don't have clear picture.

Simple full-screen 4xZOOM will solve these issues.
