Is there any way for me to remove this grain effect? It looks horrible.

Turning on Post-AA diminishes it. MSAA appears to totally remove it, but at significant cost to performance. Hopefully they will just unlock the user.cfg commands again.

This bums me out. MSAA does not totally remove it, but it does make it a lot less noticeable. Doesn't matter though because MSAA kills my performance, makes my game unplayable.

I just really want to turn it off. I'm on a 37" monitor now and it's HORRIBLY GRAINY.

there are tons of games with film grain ... and honestly I've never heard of any one running those games with it on. why devs still bother with it. If gamer's wanted film grain they'd be hooking up to old crts still. not dropping fat wads of cash for high def TV's or high def /ultra def computer monitors.
