6, 8 and 9 together were pretty much enough to put me almost completely off, after playing MWO for 10 months, 8 a.k.a cbill nerf was the final nail in the coffin, after things like:
- 5 months of "temporary" SRM nerf (still lasts, for the last 0.5 points of dmg / missile),
- ghost heat instead of easily understandable, real heat penalties on a real heat scale with real 2.0 DHS,
- {Scrap} movement model implementation (idea = good, result = teh suck, getting stuck on pebbles),
- no fixes to mech scaling/hitboxes (Trebuchet, the medium assault mech, jumping Spider = Phase Spider), and so on.
Couldn't care less about which weapon is the best atm, I just went with the flow, brawled when meta was brawling, PPC/Gaussed and AC40-ed when that was the thing, I fared okay with everything, but every time, there was a goal: to get/try that new/old chassis, a new build, a new module, etc. There was at least some progress, in the one and only metagame we have, that is "economy", or simply, cbills, because if I played intensively for a while, I could save enough cbills to do anything, in a reasonable amount of time.
I started back before cadet bonus, with R&R still in place. Took under 1 min to read up how to circumwent R&R completely, so the cbill adjustment after that was understandable and welcome. The compensation of the former lack of cadet bonus was welcome.
But now I feel really slighted, overnight my premium time just got shafted, and after a gloriuos win, with lots of kills, assists, high damage, saviour kills and comp.dest., I make less that on a former loss with half the numbers... great way to motivate, NOT.
Not to mention it is made worse by the fact that matches last longer... less income less frequently ... FU PGI.
I spent 90$ on this game, monstly on mech bays and premium, and I enjoyed it right up to the cbill nerf.
Now the time/progress ration is so bad, that I rather play something else. To spend any more $$ on MWO would simply be foolishness: why would I spend on premium AND a hero? To make the same amounts that I made without either? Ha-ha, bad idea PGI.
