Actually the a few you haven't asked yet but are bound to hear:

Boomcat / Boomjag = Twin AC/20 Catapult K2 or Jagermech.
Splatcat / Splatjag = SRM boat Catapult or Jaggermech. Mostly Catapults.
Streakcat = As the name suggests, a streak boat Catapult, most often the A1

Just to throw this one in as it confused the heck out of me for a while:

0-7 ..This apparently is an honourable salute, and not as I thought for a long time an arrogant way to predict the scoreline!

O/0/o is the head, 7 is the arm.

There is a thread in the barracks(?) where a more real-world military man is trying to replace it with <o (or other round letter/number of your choice) as o7 (from looking at him) has you saluting with your left arm (in many militaries a rather wrong thing)
Many people counter that it is meant to be looking from behind the guy, and thus it is his right arm, or that some militaries use the left arm for saluting.

Likewise, o/ or \o is either someone waving at you, or a {Godwin's Law} salute, depending on which direction it is meant to be viewed at.

A "poptart" is a mech that has jump jets, stands behind cover, and uses the JJs to peek over the cover to fire off shots at the enemy before falling back behind cover. Generally they are snipers.

Poptart.

'Untagged' is a new one on me... could be an ECM bubble that has yet to be pierced by a TAG laser? The only definition I can think of right now that makes sense to me.

Pubstomping = grouping up with others on voice comms to join the 1-4 man drop queue, and use superior coordination to kill more uncoordinated enemies. 'Stomping' on its own would be winning by a crushingly large margin - 12-3 and below.

Elo score = the number used by the matchmaker, to try and have pilots face opponents who are (averaged across the entire team) of roughly equal skill. As far as I know, it's influenced mainly by wins/losses, and tries to keep the W/L ratio as close to 1.00 as possible. So if you have a run of wins, followed by a thoroughly depressing losing streak, it's the Elo system trying to even you out.

All-gold founder teams... I can only assume is either spectacularly lucky sync-dropping of 4-man teams or, more likely, mere coincidence. There's nothing that really distinguishes a Founder from any other player in-game beyond how long they've (probably) been playing and the amount of money they've invested. They don't get any other benefit; best not to worry.

Thanks. Here's the page where I found the untagged reference and I won't worry about the gold founder teams. I got other fish to fry at this point.

Untagged generally just means that they are not under the TAGs effect..... I think.

Yeah, that doesn't seem very clear at all to a newbie... but given the context I'm pretty sure it's as Shar Wolf and I said :P

In that context, it simply means an ECM 'mech that has no tag applied to it.

If you fire a TAG at someone with ECM from outside of the bubble, it'll make them lockable for the whole team, basically.

This isn't so much common slang as it is just kind of muddy writing.
