My version of it uses the same armor allocation. XL 270 engine. 3 SPL. 1 LB-10. 2 MGs. 3 tons LB ammo 1 ton MG ammo, 12 DHS.

(Made for head to head brawling with Atlases. Let nothing get behind you. It's designed to be able to withstand 5 PPCs to the front CT and keep on trucking. The 170 engine version jumps just high enough to leap over an Atlas to hit him in the back (2 JJs).)

I did something similar, I shoved an XL 200 into it, still got 1 jj, 2 tons of ac20, and 2 sl. So far its fun as hell.

I just got a left handed compliment whilst piloting my normal HBK-4G (F) AC20, 3xMLas build.

my best was during the 8v8 days, 800 and I was on the losing side with this same mech. Top scorer, too. I still earn into the 700's sometimes, mostly 350-550

Yep, it's a simple design but highly mobile, and is really great for plugging defensive gaps, or surgical strikes. I think my best games for a HBK AC/20 3ML is around 700.

What I miss was this round. But it was a stock (trial level) Hunchback 4H. Recorded by me. 691. 3 kills, 0 assists (meaning I killed everything I shot at).

If you were just playing like that for the video then that I can see but if that is how you play every match with a Light mech I don't want you on my team : )

To me a AC/20 is about doing damage (400-600) but more importantly killing quick to un balance the teams and allow a steamroll win. I liked my AC/40 Jager I could run with the middle of the pack and make kills, until I die or when I was grinding CB I would just aim for arms etc. for assists and component CB awards.

I can see the fun or use in a fast light that is a hit and run build but not just standing around slowly picking targets. But then again I assume you did that for the video.

YLW all the way. AC20 in an arm with other arm to use as shield going 100kph (or something with 300xl). Every time I get tired of grinding whatever mech I want to get XP, I bring out this and it's so much fun you can't believe it unless you try.

I think in-game I probably have a slightly smarter layout of ammo, armor and heatsinks, but you get the picture. I built this quite a while back and I think SRMs have been toned down since then, so I guess it has lost some of it's effectiveness, but I think it's still a fairly viable build.

Not enough Victor in this thread for my taste.

VTR-9S, AC20, xl360, Artemis, SRM6/4/2 pack (1 of each launcher results in maximum tube count on the Victor), 2MLs, near max armor (14 pts under max, iirc), HS and ammo to taste. I want to say 3 JJs, but maybe 2.

You're better off running with the 5M. If you lose the AC/20 on the 2D2, you lose one ML. If you lose the AC/20 on the 5M, you've got 2 MLs on the Right Arm.

I love the AC/20 Catapult K2 due to the fact you can easily gain tonnage from reducing all the armor on the arms, giving you more space to work with when it comes down to ammo and engine sizes.

I tweaked your build a little. Dropped the SRMs in favor of SSRM, added BAP and AMS.
