i don't think it is elitist. It is pay to forum, there are ALOT of games on the market whose forums work exactly this way. And there are other f2p mmo's that function in the same manner. Swtor comes to mind right off the bat.

Look at my forum sigpic, and tell me exactly why I would need to have a sub just to post on the forums. Explain to me, how after spending all that money and NOT having a sub, you could justify saying I should have no posting rights on these forums.

Yup, good point. If you want forums to be only for paying members, then all founders should be excluded from this. I've paid more than enough to earn a voice on these forums.

Not sure if srs.
Real serious bud...the whiny grown men up in this joint are slap worthy.
Yeah, plenty of Premium time holder's are cry babies as well so there would really be no getting away from that.

I'm sorry, but some of the most vocal minorities do have Premium Accounts and/or are Founders (which paid up to 120$ + all the premium account time and MC purchases, like me...). Actually, a lot of the biggest whiners in these forums are founders that think they own this game because they paid so much for it in the early closed beta days.
Point is, whether you paid for it or not, it's a Free To Play game, and if anyone can play it, anyone should be able to comment on it or take part in discussions.

I realize that. There will be no solace from the irrational people.

But I do think some kind of system needs to be put in to regulate. Too many troll posts and there's no consequences.

Seperating the community is bad bad bad bad bad bad bad. If you wanna be Elitist, thats cool, go start your own forums, as far as the MWO forums are concerned though, anyone who is smart enough to figure out how to login, no matter how much I joke about needing an IQ or reading comprehension test, should be able to post whatever they want whenever they want, and let the Moderators figure out if it's constructive or destructive.

No consequences? You know, I could have sworn that Prosperity, Helmer, MiSs, and any number of other admins are here for a reason. There are consequences, people just choose to ignore them.

Yes, I suppose. But charging people for using a "special" section of the forum would only create a realistic reason for people to think that PGI are just alienating them.

I agree with you completely here, it's already bad enough with the complete nuking of GD.

You are so classy...
TOTALLY disagree with you, because you can not generalize.
Not everyone works or have money and that does not make them inferior in any way.
Constructive critics are always found in every thread as QQ ppl as well, just ignore them or let PGI moderators take care of flammers. But excluding people that have no money to afford premmy is not right.
