Look at the weight of this peice. I can only carry 2 of these with only 30 ammo on my jagger.
Sound balanced to me. With this new reload thing, this gun is useless.

It takes a few matches to get used to the charge, but you can easily master it and get 500-1000 damage matches in no time.
And that is not very much ammo, I can get 4 MLs, 6 tons of ammo on the 3D without a problem, plus a JJ.

To be honest Joseph, a Sniper Rifle should never, ever be able to be snap fired. You have fired a Scoped weapon yes?

To be honest, I fired a 30-06 Springfield sniper rifle with a scope... Don't remember the rifle having a 1.5 second delay after I pulled the trigger. There is a difference between snap fire and shooting when the trigger is pulled after a careful aim.

2 gauss + ammo = 37 tons, now in fact they reload in 5 seconds and not 4, so far less dps in mid range fights when i used to shoot each time i could.
this the most STUPID PATCH I HAVE EVER SEEN
the first one being the ghost heat penality patch.
these Patches are used to help players that are not able to plan a strategic long range game and just want to get in 300 meters range and look at shiny lasers and listen to dakka dakka........no skill needed in brawl.

"Man, this weapon sucks for mid-range DPS now!"
Well, since the whole point of the patch was to make the Gauss more of a sniper and less of a mid/short-range brawling weapon, I'd say Mission Accomplished.

If you are PULLING the trigger on a sniper weapon you are doing it completely wrong, You line up the target, control your breathing, take up the slack in the trigger, pause your breathing and squeeze the trigger so that the shot is actually a surprise to you, hold the trigger for one second then slowly release and then cycle another round. If you are "PULLING" the trigger, if you are right handed, your shot will go to the right and depending if you have weighted the weapon it might climb slightly more than ballistics will cause. Being a sniper is an art, not a skill and not everyone can do it and not everyone should everyone be able to do it

Yeah yeah yeah B.R.A.S.S...
Tell it to someone without a few thousand rounds down range.

I'm pretty sure we've covered this ground guys. Try the search function before you malfunction.
And I can fit 60 rounds on my dual gauss jager. With 4 medium lasers. You're doing it wrong.

When ‘Chuck’ Mawhinney killed 16 NVA crossing a river in Vietnam in less than 30 seconds at night - I'm pretty sure he was snap firing his snaiper rifle.
You should also be able to shoot targets of opportunity. When Ethan Place shot an insurgent in Fallujah at 600+ yards as he ran accross an alley I'm pretty sure he didn't have to "charge" his sniper rifle - If he did, he would have had no shot - just like we do now about 25 percent of the time.
