I vote "none". I don't like Therma/Lava/Mordor, River City Night and Day, and Tourmaline. However, I don't want to play in even fewer maps.

Don't like mordor, but only because all action is either in the death ring chokes or on the slope leading to them.
Tourmaline I just hate the lack of colour and contrast. It seems that all the colour in games was left behind in 90s. Now its all polluted with green/brown/blue/dirty tint.
I don't want to stare at wastelands all the time I play, I want grasslands, forests, flowers and bunnies on the background when I blow enemy mechs apart :)

HAHA! Mordor and Therathermalpine gave me a good chuckle. I am only annoyed when I get a map 4+ times in a row. Other than that I like the strategy and diversity of each map.

I'd remove both River Cities. They have that kinda design flaws that are unsuitable to game, at least now when battles are 12v12.

There are enclosed valleys and cover that enable brawling without fear of said snipers. There are way more chokepoints than you can ever hope to cover.
- Frozen City has become a "hide behind the ridge" map. But because of that, more often then not, in Conquest mode the tunnel is free for flanking manouvers and in Assault mode it's the frozen coastline nobody cares to look at.
- Frozen City Night is the same as Frozen City just with better vision. I see it as a kind of weather effect and count it as the same map as FC.
- Forest Colony and Forest Colony Snow are classics. While some say that the map now feels cramped with 12 vs. 12 I never had so much fun on this map since closed Beta. An always moving battle with several hotspots during the course of a match is much more fun for me, than a stand and deliver match along long distances.
- Canyon Network allows for those stand and deliver matches, but provides options around it. In my opinion the best map so far.

Every map is different. You need to adjust your playstyle to the different environments. This is war in the inner sphere, it will not always provide you with the best possible battlefield.

if any map should be removed it would be "cappa" therma though its much better than it used to be at least in terms of getting stuck... still i would prefer pgi to make a decent mode

and also more maps -> better so i abstain my vote

Why can i only pick one, i want tera therma and tourmaline gone i get these all the damn time and i'm really sick of them both.

Tera wins i suppose because i'm still getting stuck on nothing far too often.

I realy dont understand this Topic...

We got Only 8 different Maps Ingame and you want to decrease it to 7 ???
At least the developers could Implement DUST2 from cunterstrike
and then we are playing only this one map... = Borring

Night and Snow versions dont count as different maps.

I picked River City night, but I don't really HATE any of the maps. What I do hate is every body always ends up in the same places all the time. The best games are the ones that go off in unusual directions; such as most of the fighting taking place at kappa on Tourmaline or at the larger base on Alpine.

I don't want the developers to execute one, that's not the point. My point should be that I should be able to chose what maps go into my rotation, and they should know what maps are liked and what maps are not and why. Honestly we all have an opinion and what I hate you might love, that's fine by me, give us the choice to play what we love or a reason to grind what we hate but simply getting unlucky and getting a map you hate because your mech is designed for anything else but the surface of a volcano... sad. I have cool running mechs, that's what I would bring if I had to fight on a volcano... not an all energy sloth or a LRM boat. I want to chose what map I will play or what mech I will play based on the map if the map is forced. Honestly it makes 100% sense.

I'm the one person who voted "Forest Colony." My vote goes for "Forest Colony Snow," too. I have always had a soft spot for FC... I got my first kill there. But lately it just seems so blah. With so little room, there's really not much space for tactical innovation. So regardless of the level of play, you're going river or you're going land. Or you're doing both, and dying.

Just burnt out on it, I guess. I hope with 12v12, we'll see the end of these battle-in-a-closet maps. More large, sweeping landscapes that open up more possibilities, please.

I wouldn't remove any of the. I'd make adjustments to a couple, sure, but each serves to fill in an environment type that should be represented in the game.

River City (Both versions, but particularly night) is too small. You shouldn't be able to snipe form base to base. Not to mention the unbalanced starting positions.

Alpine is pretty easy to fix with a starting point move, until then, it's horribly unbalanced. That said, if they set the map up as a base defense map for a different mode, then it would be awesome.

Winter Forrest Colony has issues with one of the capture points being too exposed giving one side an advantage.

TT, Tormaline, Caustic Valley, and Canyon Network are fine. For all the hate, TT is pretty balanced, it just requires a different play style than most folks are used to.

I grumble the most about canyon when I don't have jump jets/getting stuck at 0 kph on the top of **** etc

but I still wouldn't take it out of the game :)
