Am I The Only One That Hates The New Movement Animation Speed?

Seriously... previously mechs like Stalkers felt like you were piloting a 'Big Stompy Robot'. Now it feels like you are driving some 'Prancey Pony' (which some may like.... but I detest).

No, you are not alone. My Atlas Feels like a rabbit.
Since I pilot Atlai only I refuse to play this game till it is fixed

The 1st person (inside cockpit) shake looks really silly on high engine rating assault mechs. Very silly. But on my raven 3L it looks better. I really doubt the mech would go spastic like that (assaults) just because they are going 15kph faster.

I find it's more tolerable if you put Yakety Sax on as background music.

Yeah I feel like I am galloping on a wooden horse when I am moving now...hate it. Prancing Pony is definately the best way to discribe it.

If they are going to do this sort of animation it should be linked to raw speed not engine rating. Assault mechs look terrible galloping along at 59 kph while smaller mechs move faster but giddyup less.

This needs to go. It is really stupid looking.

It's not just assault mechs. My K2 does 82kph and looks like it's on a pogo stick.
I hate it! :(

Yeah, I dont like it. I cant picture a 65+ ton mech moving its legs that quickly. It should be long powerful strides.

Run animation != speed up walk animation. Running causes bigger strides - not just more frequent strides. 'Mech animation is a tough one, but I'd rather see a little sliding than this.

I think this is a good start. Rather than reverting the change I believe that new animations and strides should be added to the mechs. In other words, keep progress and give the Art Team more work <3

I think my highlander looks ridiculous now, its like its trotting along at full speed
Assaults just look and feel ridiculous now :(

Why can't they animate a mech decently! For cripes sake download MW4 and just watch a mech walk. Copy that and move on. Sheesh!!!

Personally doesn't bother me, I don't move in 3PV, just use it to spy over hills. Don't notice anything significantly different in 1PV. It just looks like the mechs legs actually plant in a spot on the ground while walking, which seems better if anything.

Then again I wasn't bothered by the 'motion sickness inducing' jumpjets either.

I don't care about how my mech looks I can't see it from my cockpit, but the enemy mechs do a really funky chicken giddyup dance that just looks silly.

More animations need to be added for higher speeds, but before you can do that, you have to get the animations synchronizing properly. I am okay with the changes as long as they are temporary until the animations themselves get reworked. I don't even care if it takes them six months to get around to fixing it, as long as it gets fixed eventually.
