My father upgraded the graphics card in his gaming rig since the fan on the current one was starting to go bad...

And HOLY CRAP! I can now play at >100FPS... With the graphics turned up! This game is BEAUTIFUL!

Plus I'm getting his old card for free, I don't know if it's going to burn out or not. I figure I'll clean it out as best I can and try to figure out what's wrong with the fan and maybe fix it (I have a feeling it may be clogged or obstructed causing it to wobble) but hey, no matter what, it's still a free upgrade.

Meanwhile, ArmA 3 players are wondering if the GTX 980 TI will be able to run ArmA 3 on a 60 player MP server with anything higher than 30fps.

Just play Counter Strike: Global Offensive, it throws realism completely out the window in favor of teeth-grinding, bone-crunching, KDR-crushing difficulty and the community is great because 12 year olds don't have the patience to play it.

Normally I don't ever take games seriously, but when you sit me down to play Tribes . . .

My blood pressure reaches unsafe levels.

(I'm talking about the real Tribes games, not the pay 2 win flop that was Tribes: Assend.)

When I first started playing CS:GO I couldn't snipe for **** because every time I pulled out the AWM I tensed up and started hyperventilating, and couldn't focus.

Now I just relax and play the game how I want, without ever touching Competitive mode.

Exactly!

My logic is the same with MWO. I like playing in groups when I can but competitive warfare is too much for me. I just want to jump into the game, play whatever build tickles my fancy and enjoy it.

There are some games that shouldn't be turned into "Esports" while there are others that fit the form perfectly.

Planet Side 2 was an example of a game that wanted to be an Esport. but couldn't be.

Soooo... I recently bought titanfall, and I believe that it alludes to Mechwarrior in subtle ways, these are some that I've already found.
1. The militia's symbol:
It looks like the 2009 mechwarrior 5 trailer's atlas head

2. The AI voices.
-One is named 'Betty,' of which in the Mwo community is referred to as 'B******' Betty'
-They both sound similar and warn you of threats, incoming missiles, and other threats.

So do you guys think that titanfall references mechwarrior?

Funny thing. After one week of playing Titan Fall, I took my CD and threw it into my shredder. I have never been so disappointed with a game before.

Gameplay got stale for me after two days. and seeing as the games playerbase dropped by nearly 50% after it had been live for two weeks...

I wasn't the only one who was upset.
