It would not surprise me if Titanfall took some inspiration from MechWarrior.

But yeah, it was more or less Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare with mechs. Sure the concept was cool, and I would have loved to play it had I been able, but anything that tries to play like Call of Duty will wind up being superceded by Call of Duty. Which is why the population dropped.

I can generally get a good idea of whether I want a game or not by just watching a few YouTube videos of its gameplay. I knew Titanfall wasn't going to get very far, as much as I loved the concept of the game.

But... I'd really, really, really love to see a Japanese-style mech mmo. As much as I love BattleTech's stompy, realistic approach to mechs, whether it's realistic or not I love fast-moving mechs with stylish designs and laser swords.

Even better would be an Armored Core style approach where you can swap out heads, arms, legs, torsos, internals, etc. to change the mech's appearance and play style. Actually, an Armored Core MMO in general would be awesome and I'd throw my money at it.

I'd like it to be in Armored Core 3's art style though.
