Correction. I WAS a tree.

I am now an elegantly shaped paper flying machine.

(Did I mention paper airplanes is a big hobby of mine? That image is mine btw.)

"The SP-1 was named the "Paper Wing" because its wing rib webs were fabricated from paper. Otherwise the aircraft was predominantly wood and doped aircraft fabric."

My God.. . The hippies have invaded aviation history.

Yup, that's what they called me. :(

My best fliers have gone.. Hmm, about 75 feet from my front porch? I have an elevated porch and a sloped driveway though so I'm cheating a little. I'm generally more interested in paper planes that do stunts - those are often harder to make in my experience.

I saw competitions for paper planes, I always wondered why people love that, until 1st grade started
You could try to go on competitions :(

I would like to try but paper airplanes can get very, very technical and I'm not really an aerodynamics expert. I wouldn't stand a change against some people who are into this hobby, some of the more dedicated ones actually design and work on airplanes for a living. I wouldn't stand a chance. :D

However if I ever get the opportunity I'll give a go. :(

Ive seen some of those paper plan competitions.. People throw everything from traditional and advanced folded style planes (some sailing for amazing times) and then... out come the rolled paper beasts that look like someone should live on-board.

I do enjoy origami(when its not making me hate my fingers{or foil paper}), but my airplanes usually end up very basic and may/may not fly.
