Srsly? AC/2 Heat 40 % reduced.....

I think you are reading it wrong. They reduced the multiplier on the heat penalty for AC2, this only applies to penalty added to firing more the 3 AC2 at once. And since the multiplier was already low I doubt you will see much of a chance. To compare the multiplier for AC2 was 1 and I think the AC20 is like 24.

Hi, Launch Day was the perfect opportunity for an MC Sale of epic proportions.

You're either short staffed or someone needs to be fired. No offense.

Point of order.  Whining is Unbecoming a Mechwarrior.
Com Star court martials for everyone, and may dishonor follow your names wherever you go.
That is all.

Wow...

So sad.

Nothing to see here... at all ...... on Launch Day.

NOT EVEN A SINGLE NEW MAP!

Pretty sad.

From the Vocal Minority.

Talk about dropping the ball.

Although i really hope this game survives long enough to prosper, i wasn't really expecting much from "removal of beta tag day".

However, this means that many angry gold founders and rabblers (people who just hate) will now visit metacritic and drown it in zeros............

Because if you drown it with zeros, it really makes you cool. This game is playable so giving a game a zero just for the sake of being mad is stupid. But player reviews don't count for anything anyways. Otherwise, Call of Duty would be a terrible game for all with it's 3.5 score from users (I gave it a 7).

So, why have the UAC/5 25 shots?
Now it's basically an AC/5, so it could have the same ammo load (like as in the original rules...).

So what is the point of even having UAC5 in the game if it is a regular AC5 that jams most of the time??? it went from a very viable option to **** nothing in minutes flat. good job there...

Maybe I am missing something but the only thing that made the UAC5 more attractive than the standard AC5 was its rate of fire. So with the nerf now to the UAC5 RoF we basically have a choice of a AC5 that jams or an AC5 that doesn't. Nice way to make the UAC5 totally redundant.

Wrong...

the UAC5 still will double fire while the AC5 will not. It still has a higher rof as you can get two shots off (with a chance of jam) before full recharge.

Posters should also read THE UNIFORM CODE OF MECHWARRIOR CONDUCT that was posted yesterday.

  • Fixed an issue where users are experiencing severe heat from the center volcano area in Terra Therma.
  • Fixed an issue where the lava in Terra Therma is causing unintentional damage to Mechs.
Oh ... I always thought those were intended, because I kinda would expect my Battlemech to .... I don't know .... melt .... or something in the lines of that ... when I jump into an active Volcano ... but that may be just me.

Happy Launchday anyway

Holy underwhelming Batman™.

What a waste of anticipation...

I'm incredibly disappointed. This launch is so soft even the UN are calling PGI a bunch of wimps.

So, I'll just call this Beta 3.0. I'm sure everyone else but the kings of denial (IGP, PGI) will do something similar.

Hoping that something more is announced during the Launch Event tonight. To be honest, thats what I'm expecting - some sort of major announcement(s) - Community Warfare, the arrival of the Clans, etc. Maybe not immediately, but at least a given date for it.

As for the patch and the new stuff, I wasn't expecting much, but I was seriously expecting more than a snide jab at the 1PVs, a sale for camos for only one mech (because nobody would want those for any other mech, right?), and a My Little Pony pattern.

I remember when they first announced their hard Launch date, I thought, "Wow, good for them... they're finally making a commitment to something! Since they've announced it, they must know that they'll be able to deliver at least some of their new fancy features."

I should have known better. Instead, they just picked a random patch day and said, "Happy Launch Day, everybody!"

This is a fun game, PGI, and I understand that your team is passionate about it... but you are awful at delivering on your deadlines and promises.

If you read it, they said they would mention something about it at the Launch Party, not Day.

"It will be there......soo  OOOOOOON." - end of statement.

where uac5 would often shoot twice per cycle ac5 would never shoot twice per cycle.
this just prevents the macros from making the weapon op and is a good move imo

I already had low expectations but still hoped that you had something to surprise the community with.
Well whatever. Just waiting for the reviews now, you deserve them PGI...
