I had same thought. Perhaps they sabotage the game to escape the shackles of abusing IGP, to force it eventually to drop unsuccessfull project so the next owner perhaps will give them more freedom?

pfft...just another day, nothing special on this day of release date...just business as usual far as I can tell. Keeping my hopes up but not holding my breath for CW's release.

Doesn't matter what they say at this point. Most of the people who are upset are so far beyond reconciling that there's just no pleasing them.

Myself on the other hand, am going to enjoy fitting and dropping in an Orion today. Thanks PGI.

Bull. "1pv reinstated. Sorry about the mess." That would pretty much do it for me. Put it back like it's supposed to be. Nobody ever passed up this game because it didn't have 3pv.

Launch day has nothing but a c-bill Orion and even more weapon changes?

Matchmaker needs 3 minutes to find someone for a match? If 3pv really was a success, MM shouldn't even need 1 minute.

We all have a limit, and they seem to be working on finding everybody's.

Congrats on launch. Have my complaints but this is still the game I come back to. Lot's O fun.

And seriously guys, non-constructive whining makes the whole community look bad. If it's not fun for you, find a different game. Cut your losses, move on.

I sometimes thing there needs to be some marriage counseling between PGI and it's player base, as it's starting to feel toxic.

Starting? 0.o

In 15+ years of beta testing and game developm, ent, I have not once seen a community even remotely as hell bent on making it`s "favorite" game fail miserably and ACTIVELY CONTRIBUTING TO THAT as this one is.....

Said it before, and I`ll say it again: We are one of teh smalles MWO communities, "official " forum or not, partly because an estimated 95% of all the other communities openly tell people to stay as far away as possible from the famewars and vitriol that this community reeks with as soon as a Dev says good morning.

TBH, f I were PGI, this would be the last community I would listen to, because it is for the most part entirely incapable of rational discussion and honest criticism... It`s very obvious that the primary interest of most forumwarriors is not actually playing the game but simply slinging as much mud at PGI as they possibly can, partly because many complain about this change and that change and whatever, yet in the same post admit to not having playd since March or earlier. But somehow in their entitled mind their opinion of the current state of the game that they don`t play is somehow still supposed to mean something to someone other than themselves? *facepalm*

You can`t help but think that either the average age of posters here is <12, or that Bryan Ekman drives araound all day looking for MWO player`s dogs to run over in his black Doggie Squasher from Hell.... ;)

Zerberus, couldn't agree more. And the metacritic "reviews" just prove it. Some people are not here because they like this game, they play it because they hate it. Which is pretty dysfunctional in my book.

I agree with you on some points, but I disagree with you on "TBH, f I were PGI, this would be the last community I would listen to". If I don't use these forums to communicate how I feel towards what PGI does for better or for worse, where am I supposed to say such things? I feel that I should not have to listen to an NGNG Podcast, or read twitter to get updates that should be posted on these forums.

This is the official MWO forum. Not some 4chan trollmonger plebian hangout. There should be a connection between these forums and the people making this game, even if it is a small% of the player base that chat on here. They don't have to listen to anything anyone says, or make changes in the game based on it, but it would be nice just to hear from someone in charge every once in awhile, you know, that communication thing?

Exactly... The typical mwomercs.com pioster at this point in time:

1. "I really want this game to succeed" (but you disappointed me and ***** my sister by not delivering something you never promised to deliver at the time in question, but rather that I wanted to see)
2. Posts horrendous , obviously partisan review on Metacritic blasting everything about the game regardless of true or not. You know, the kind of "review" that even little kids see and say "He`s BSing, no game could possibly be that bad"
3. admits to not having played ever since R+R was removed.
4. Still expects to be taken seriously.

I agree on basic principle... but have you ever tried to have a rational conversation while in a cage with 2 dozen monkeys screaming and flinging poo? How about 2 thousand or more? When does sifting through the {Scrap} to find the 2 sentences that were well thought out cease being worth the time spent sifting? ;)

They do post updates... and they have gotten flamed all the way to hell and back for every single one ever since Open beta. Is that the devs being unwilling to communicate, or us unwilling to listen?

I never said i wouldn`t INFORM this community, just that I would be very careful (and that`s being dipomatic) when considering listening to anything it says, for obvious reasons.

OK, no Community Warfare, UI 2.0, no DX11, it's just like the other usual maintenance patch ...... sigh

At least give us 6, 8mans and a private lobby please - what kind of a launch is this.

And honestly they have not had much issue on releasing mechs and maps on schedule, for the most part.

I don't foresee any issues there. Art department has it's **** together, apparently ;)

Soon. It is the last founders mech on the list. At worst, you'll get it before the year ends. At best, you'll get it the same time the first of the PP mechs are released.
