I think PGI got thing messed up :

The game was in alpha state and now it has finally launch its beta.

Real launch expected 14/07/2018.

The more I think about it the more sense it make.

Wow... The bile.

Apparently I'm the only person with reasoned expectations... It's been know for at least a week the launch was going to be underwhelming and for anyone to feign disappointment is at best being disingenuous.

And if you were so over-reaching with your optimism that PGI was actually carrying out a ruse and planned to drop some surprises on us... You folks set yourselves up for disappointment and I have no empathy.

Am I disappointed... absolutely. I like all all of you had high expectations in light of their forecast road-map to launch... which sadly, PGI has yet again driven straight into a light pole for no apparent reason.

That said... the over-acting drama-queen rage in this thread is deafening...

Believe you me, the disappointment was real. I was hoping that PGI was just trolling us the entire way, but it looks like I fell for the old "I'll deliver it later you pony up the cash now" scheme.

Also, you may want to read the new Unified Code of Conduct before you continue to troll people who disagree with you.

hmm kinda of disappointed. Nothing exciting or new. Why even launch? We are still gonna be testers over next few months. More tweaks and new features to test. Am I wrong in thinking that this is Not a Finished Product?

3...2..1..... .... ..... ..... .... .... ?

MWO Launch reminds me of a Launch on January 28, 1986

ROFL HE MADE AN ACCOUNT TO POST THIS TODAY !!!!ROFL

If you read the code it says you have to be nice in what you say not you can't state your opinion neg or pos.

PGI's stance on criticism has been to ignore the polite and punish the agressive.

The patch notes themselves were actually pretty good for the most part even though they're underwhelming for a day of so much hype. My only gripes (besides the lack of fresh content) are the AC/2 still being on the ghost heat list, and no changes to pulse lasers whatsoever.

Thankfully my expectations have hit rock bottom and begun to dig. Therefore I can say nice patch.

Wow, people really do whine as much in the forums as they do ingame..... sheesh.

Great game, btw. Sorry you couldn't do more for the big launch day (we know you wanted to), but most of us are really glad to be able to play a good battletech game online again.

Thanks!

Sad thing is that this fix is the best thing they came out with on launch-day patch...

That's actually true. This was literally the only thing in the patch notes where I thought, "Oh, cool!"

PGI, have you heard of "damning with faint praise"? Well, I'm sorry, but faint praise is all you're gonna get until you get your scrap together. Fixing a glaring chat bug that's been present for months should not be the highlight of your Launch Day patch notes.

After reading through this thread, I have come to the conclusion that game should be renamed to "[Dezgra] Online" or "[Surat] Online"

This launch event has everything in it that should have been expected (weapon balance, new mech, additional bug fixes). I will admit a new map would have been nice but that's coming in October. If you were expecting other stuff (CW, UI 2.0, Clans, DX11) it has been very clearly stated multiple times on the forums that these things will not be available at launch.

Maybe I am missing something but the only thing that made the UAC5 more attractive than the standard AC5 was its rate of fire. So with the nerf now to the UAC5 RoF we basically have a choice of a AC5 that jams or an AC5 that doesn't. Nice way to make the UAC5 totally redundant.

Incorrect.

If you fire at the standard ROF, neither will jam. If you double fire, which you can do at any time on the UAC5, THEN you have a chance of jamming.

The default ROF fixes an issue where folks could script the UAC5 to not jam and make it better than the AC5. Now, a script won't help, which is an improvement.

You apologists go to great lenghts to discredit differning opinions. No doubt you see the majority is dissapointed and no doubt you understand the vast majority of players never log into the forums. But you insist on calling out on timescale.

Man, all I gotta say is, as a new person to Battletech/Mechwarrior, this is a pretty disappointing launch. Aren't most games usually "launched" with much fanfare, big "WOWS" and not patch/bug fixes?

I feel dirty I spent RL money on some things in preparation of this "Launch."

Very underwhelming.
When I signed up for CB I thought we would be miles and miles ahead of where we are today. I'm still holding onto hope, but it's slowly dying.
Two game modes are the killer for me, are you telling me that in a year of people begging for new modes you were unable to commit any resources to additional modes?
Good luck on the reviews I guess.

Well, to be fair I would expect game programmers to sit on their butt every day at work. That's about as far as I go with giving credit where it's due though.
