i dont feel sorry for PGI...they **** in the bed and now they get to lie in it
I don't feel sorry for PGI, either. I'm simply saying that my enthusiasm, regardless of the amount of money that had been coming in to make the game, would be seriously dampened if I had to listen to all the vitriolic garbage as you and your cronies seeking to destroy this universe I love are spewing from your useless little minds.

i hope that analogy wasn't as vague or ambiguous as yours
My analogy wasn't ambiguous at all. You wouldn't put up with the BS that you're spewing out regardless of the job you had. NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE remains in a job like that. Which is why there's a 63% turnover rate at call center jobs, monthly, and something like 55-60% at fast food, weekly. You're not fooling me, I know better.
However, you would rather act poorly and salve your ego while cursing the fantastic work of others, which you aren't able to do, I would venture a guess, because you don't have (tantrum)EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANTED WHEN YOU WANTED IT!(/tantrum). Guess what, I want CW, as well, perhaps more than you do, but I'm willing to wait, now, for three reasons...
1) NGNG Podcast 88, all three parts, laid it out. Bryan took three hours of his valuable time to explain everything to us, and he didn't use vague terminology, though he also didn't get into the grapevine of difficulties this game has proceeded through, either.
2) I can't build this game. It was hard enough for me to learn HTML and the very meager amount of PHP I've had to learn to build my web site, and Excel so I could figure out how to use a spreadsheet. Now, a LOT of PGIs people might be school-trained, but I'll guarantee you they've had to learn a {Scrap}-ton of tips and tricks -very few of which that will have come easy or in short-order-, just like I had to for the tiny knowledge I do have for the things I just mentioned, and EVERYTHING they're doing is a LOT harder. Not to mention all of the balancing issues they've had to go through, so many iterations that I can't possibly imagine, for whiny babies, so they could have the most balanced game possible. I've even whined about the hard points on Catapults being incorrect, but I gave it up when I did some research on all of the 'Mechs and found out the hard points -which I still dislike and feel are wholly unnecessary- are actually fairly well-balanced, and I can see the hard decisions, now, that they would have to have made.
3) When I started into Closed Beta in late 2011/early 2012 -I don't remember exactly when they let me in- there were a LOT of problems with the game, ALL of which have been solved, and new problems introduced, to be worked through, due to the introduction of new 'Mechs, maps, a game mode, the completion of the Information Warfare pillar, re-balanced and programmed movement, etc. You people complain that nothing's being done, but this game is far more perfect than it was at the introduction of Closed Beta, and new features, maps, 'Mechs, etc., are being introduced all the time, whether you see them or not.
God, I would love to see the logged man-hours and things accomplished since October 31st 2011. It would have to be reams of paper upon reams of paper, a series of posts so long it would double the current post-count total on these forums. But, nothing is going to shut you people up, or make you understand that CW, UI 2.0, etc., have been pushed back, most likely maddeningly so for the developers, so many times that it must feel like a lost cause to them, by now.
I don't feel sorry for PGI... they took this on themselves. However, your vitriol, disgust, and haranguing is not going to help ANYTHING toward moving this game along and, once they do have everything finished to at least the satisfaction of some of us -none of us will see the perfect game we have in mind, period-, your villainy here will cost the game its overall life.
So, get in, sit down, strap in, and shut up... we're going places, unless you ignorant folks who want to continue grousing about something you have NO control over, want to kill the game. At this point, though PGIs money management might come into question and they could kill their own game that way, the only way this game is going to die is if YOU, and everyone else who wants to complain rather than making this community better, wants to continue driving the stake deeper into the heart of this game.
PGI is not responsible for building this community, nor is IGP. YOU are, and I am, and all of us are... do we want to bring people in and try to be positive, and let PGI build OUR game for us, or do we want to kill it prematurely. You get what you get when you get, and the longer you ***** and complain about what you're not seeing -and, believe you me, I want to see it all, too, now-, the longer it's going to take to get it to you.
Capische?
I'm out.
