Because this is what happens at PGI daily when it comes to discussing what should be added, updated, nerfed, etcetc.

And Russ Bullock is the one singing.

Except ******** Running Horse would have been a better link.

Other than the fact that I miss my Timber Wolf terribly( HINT HINT) I think you guys are doing great, I know I couldn't do better, those who actually can do better can gripe... the rest of us should simply try to help with good attitudes and constructive feedback so we can make the perfect MechWarrior game for all

Good attitudes have gradually eroded in the face of PGI blithely doing whatever it is they feel like doing with zero regard for feedback (as against 12 months ago). Constructive feedback. Now there's a laugh.

Can you use you prophetic wizard powers for this one?
Number of players who played x matches where -
x < 24 = ?
x > 24 = ?
x = 24 = ?

Don't you be coming at me with your stupid science. My prophecies come to me after a week of Absinthe binge drinking, ****** bar hopping and, mushroom farming.

edit: seriously!? It edited out h.ookah? I did not put those asterisks in, the forum did.

Still, you just remember after October 1st that I called it.

Weee. Launch. How exciting.
Anything new since I left the game shortly after announcment of Open Beta?
Anything significant besides new mechs an new maps?

Oh. Yeah. Ghost Heat and some other great, fun, perfectly balanced and canonical stuff. Yay.
*throws a single confetti*

Its just so numbing.
I WANT this game to be so good. I really liked the premise.
But now?
After a YEAR without significant improvement and having so much fun in other titles like War Thunder that patch by patch achieve significant changes and improvements, I have completely resigned from this game now.

I will keep monitoring, in the hope we finally get a good game out of this. Somewhere in there is a great game. Maybe PGI will finally find the diamond buried in this piece of dull rock.

Sadly, same. I bought into PGI and this game because I was a HUGE fan of the title. But after this summer, meh. And then PGI says it doesnt care about the core players and is focusing on drawing new players.

Ponzi Scheme.

Actually, they've just taken the "minimum viable product" approach to an extreme. They want to put as little work into MWO as possible while bringing in as much money as possible even if it means sacrificing long-term viability. They haven't been trying to hide it.

Most corporations do this to some extent, but they're usually less contemptuous of their customers, are better at hiding it, and are at least a little concerned about keeping the doors open past tomorrow. PGI/IGP isn't.

No Meta game so I havent been playing as much as I did when it was just a beta test. I see now that Beta test just means 'Lets get people to pay money to play early'. Glad I didnt have the money to get a founders package, since I've been part of the Beta test since the 2nd week closed beta was announced.
And I thought when Microsoft just ditched directional jump-jets, instead of fixing the solid objects that directional jump jets phased you through, was bad Beta testing on their part. Makes me wonder what sales have looked like since theres nothing to do but PUG's.

I feel sorry for the actual developers most of all. Its clear they are being stifled, being told to put in work into things that clearly nobody in their right mind will prioritize. We'll never hear anything about it unless one of them quits and comes out about it, but I'm sure none of them are attached enough to BT and MW to do that just over questionable direction from IGP and upper PGI.

I don't blame them (the developers) for it. If nothing else I'd like to applaud them for the work they've done, since there is little else to applaud in this terribly timed (clash with GTA V and TGS), terribly marketed and terrible content launch.

sadly:

Worst Launch Ever.

come on guys, i love MW the IP the universe, the previous games (never played TT though).

i want this to be awesome too. but, you're kinda ruining it. Not saying i wont play, or that others wont, but this could be great and youre letting the opportunity pass you by.....

wheres CW? wheres the new UI?

should have hyped those and launched with them *sadface*

I'm in the game since 1 week now. Well... ty for the "welcome" but meh... a cool 'mech cockpit is all I can see about new things. The maps, the pilot's skills, the so called "missions"... everything is pointing out that the "game" will be as it is now for quite some time still. So I'm not really interested in opening my wallet for this thing as it is now. Quite a decent work so far but man... that's not really even far to be enough for asking to be payed yet, on my opinion.

To summarize the “launch:” they removed the Beta tag on the client.

Opinions, man. Getting rid of MW2's directional hover/boost jets make this game more BattleTech and less Gundam. Of course, in the BattleTech in my mind, Jump Jets THROW you in a direction (as if launched from an explosion, not gently lifted by a balloon) and maybe let you make a semi-controlled descent (enough so you don't break your legs, not so much that you can play like a hang glider in PilotWings).

If the whiners could slow it down a little it would be a[appreciated I'm starting to run out of popcorn and have to go buy more.

Funny part is that its more entertaining than the game itself. Whiners complaining about stuff that'll never change and the white knights defending the indefensible. It never gets old when
