For me it was buying a second seismic sensor module. I normally hot swap modules between matches... 6m cbills down, and I was only 500,000cbills from my last Victor I needed to master them.

Kept it though, since now I can leave a mech ingame and move on with the second module.

when I was new the UI was totally confusing and still catches me out. I've purchased mechs for MC instead of cbills by mistake and I'm not surprised a lot of people make that mistake.

I honestly think they deliberately make the UI {Scrap} so people make this mistake and dump real money on mechs when they don't intend too

I think the worse mistake ive made is selling my DD, i saved for ages for it to try a 6xMG build only to find i didn't really like it and sold it. I was still a newb and didn't like AC's much. now I want to buy the DD back...

The mechs I regret buying - 2x Awesomes and 2x QKD's

Ive since got the three basic Victors and they have made the Awesomes and Quickdraws totally obsolete

• I also accidently bought a Centurion with MC instead of C-Bills, contactacted support and told me to S.T.F.U noob (not in so many words).
  
• Foolishly sold a Jaegermech, then re-purchased same Jaegermech two weeks later (and DHS + Endo), when I thought of a build I wanted to try.
  
• I go so frustrated with an Awesome that I sold it in a fit of rage, before realizing that I still need 2 elite pilot skills to open access to master on my 9M.

One smart thing I did: Early on I bought a second Catapult K-2, then equiped one with Endo one without. I imagine I have saved about 50 milling in Endo swaps with that second mech.

I keep two DDCs, for the same reason, though it's less about the long term savings, more about the convenience.

• Highlander 733P: just couldn't make it work (not using cheesy builds of course). Either not enough slots or not enough tonnage.

Biggest faux pas for me was losing 3 modules (11 m c-bill value) by selling a mech and forgetting to remove them first - OUCH!!!!

I accidentally unlocked the 3rd module on one of my jagers with gxp. A little piece of me died that night (21,500 little pieces to be precise). Don't drink and mechlab kids.

1-Raven-3L: I bought it at the golden ECM era but the mech was such a hate magnet that i had to sell it.

2-I bought a jenner-k just to level up the basics so i can elite my sarah's jenner and i accidentaly sold it without upgrading it, i had to rebuy it just to upgrade and sell it again,

lol i did this exact same thing, bought a K for cash, only to sell it to save cbills for the D-DC, well much much later i bought my K back for cbills lol. and i have found that it does have its place amongst atlas's albeit it is the most difficult to work with with its lack of weapon hardpoints. but short of the long keep it simple on the K, throw endo and DHS in it with a STD rock a AC20+LRM15/20Art+ 2LL + 2ML+2AMS 2 Tons of ammo. anything along the lines of a fastlas with dual AMS is actually pretty baddass right now almost better then ECM.

but i think my biggest loss is like anyone else, spending countless CBills swapping endo/FF in and out, sold a few mechs because the meta #$&#$ all over them. i think i have bought and sold the cicada 3C twice..... same with some of the jenners.

see this is why PGI needs to lighten up with mech bays and actually give you 90%-100% of all your money back when you sell, because the cat A1 really only has 3 builds..... LRM5's, SRMS2-6, and streaks...... at one point i entertained an art+srm24+lrm20 build, still it just boils down to a missile boat, with only 3 missiles to choose from. and as a whole its extremely limited so not really noob friendly.....

the highlander 733P should be avoided like the plague. it is a scrapheap compared to all the other highlanders, its like the stalkers 3H and 4N, just gimped with no real advantage.

and i think PGI should let all colors be bought for cbills as well as MC, same for patterns and camo. should not have to spend real money just to have some decent camo.

The A1 can be a great stress reliever if you've got a severe case of arachnophobia built up. I'm using it currently to give newbies a break from getting chewed up by elite light pilots because the mactch-maker blows.

I bought the Heavy Metal and 2 other Highlanders all at once. Hated them so much that I sold them a week later.

Oh and when game went open beta and founders stuff was delivered for the last time I blew all of my MC on buying Atlas Ks which I then sold immediately. I only wanted XL300 engines for all of my catapults and I wanted them now.

Back when I actually spent money on this game, I burned through MC like nobody's business.

I spent several days grinding CB to get a CTF when they came out (limited game time per day, no premium). Then I bought it with MC accidentally. Almost made me ragequit and uninstall. After that I spent my remaining founder MC to buy mechbay slots since I knew I'd need them eventually and wanted to make sure I never made that mistake again.

AWS-8R I kinda wanna sell it and just suck it up. But I spent more money on DHS and Endo on that thing then I'd get back.
