Somehow playing an MMO as your job seems like it would suck the fun right out of it.

I don't know. I'm kind of on the fence on this one. If I *had* to play MWO as a job then I'm not sure I'd want to play it any longer.

However, it might make for an interesting after-work conversation with the wife.
What did you do today at work, honey?

That's what we're missing, I can see it now. Latest patch introduces the "Football" module. Bump into another mech to hand it off. First team to stand on the enemy base with the Football wins!

With the amount of bump and grind involved in matches, I suspect there would be a huge amount of illegal passes and forward laterals, but that would be an amazing change of pace!

As far as having to play an MMO for a job, it wouldn't be the fun part usually. It would be a lot of troubleshooting and play testing, which is fun for some people (my son) and incredibly tedious to others (me). I find that having access to "hacks" like an employee would have completely ruins the fun involved in any game for me, so I am much more inclined to test as a player rather than employee - that doesn't mean I wouldn't love to be involved in actually MAKING the game, though!

Lots of speculation going on in this thread here:

Should we be getting excited?

Yeah, jump down too many rabbit holes and you might find a Mad Cat at the bottom of one! ;)

Funny that some of the speculation is that it is a shadow of a Mad Cat (Timberwolf) LOL

Yeah both games. One game is MWO and the other is Star Citizen being developed by Roberts Space Industries. Sandbox space sim. We are all really excited for it!

Though to be honest, we are also super excited about this upcoming patch in MWO!

Yup, really excited for the new patch. Hope my throttle finger is better by then. (Nicked it with a jigsaw at the very tip - only needed a bandaid but it still hurts!)

The Knight Wardens are now recruiting!
We are a group of individuals with Christian values, who come together in a family friendly environment. Treating others with a high degree of respect and dignity is our trademark.

While being competitive is something we strive towards, our greater goal is to build friendships. The game simply provides the conduit for that.

Mechwarrior Online is currently our game of choice. However, many of us look forward to the highly anticipated Star Citizen.

If you are interested in becoming part of our group, feel free to contact me or fill out an application at http://knightwardens...com/application.

See you on the battlefield!

Star player cuts himself just before the play-offs.... I think I've heard this one before!

Speaking of cutting oneself, reminds me of the time I ripped my hand open with a unibit (while working on my mech of course):

Posted Image

Mechworks 101: When attaching said unibit to a drill with keyless chuck, do not hold the bit with your hand to torque it down into the chuck. Guaranteed to cause an ouchy.
