I put my suggestions with respect to armor tweakage. Your armor is too high for the back, thus lowering your survivability. The left arm technically has too much armor, so putting that much armor for just 1 medium laser is silly.
Yeah, you are correct. Looking back now, knowing what I know about armor, I'll be much better tweaking the armor values. Thank you for the helpful tips.

Although I don't like the suggestion I'm giving you, you probably want to use other players as meat shields for a bit.. let them die instead of you (assuming they are being overaggressive). It also helps to "tap" all your opponents a little bit, in the hopes you collect an assist. It's a terrible thing to do, but that's the only way to make any money in the current state of the MWO economy.
Well, sometimes the mech you're shooting goes out of range and another one comes into range...

I'm surprised at the lopsidedness at the levels are you playing in.
As am I. The matchmaker seems to be very random. I actually stopped playing this game back in February because I kept getting into matches where we'd get steamrolled. I suspected it was premades, but it was very difficult to tell.
Earlier this week, when I decided to come back to the game, I, once again, started experiencing the lopsided games, but then towards the end of the week it evened out and I started to get fairly good match ups.
But then, today, finally I was able to buy the CTF-3D, my third Cataphract with which I could finally start to unlock the Elite Skills on the others, and game after game after game after game, it was one steamroll after another. I'm starting to wonder if the matchmaker is per player-mech and not global to the player.

Maybe it's just my level of play, but LRM boats are minimal and AMS usage is minimal. It has a lot to do at knowing how to avoid/mitigate LRM damage, since they are really not that useful in the grand scheme of things. It's good to use if your targets "don't know any better".
Again, I'm thinking this may be due to the matchmaker being per player-mech, because when I was getting games earlier this weekend on my CTF-2X and YLW, I barely saw LRM spam. Then again, I was getting good match-ups using the trial Dragon and Centurion, so...

Ammo explosions happen when your armor is exposed and weapon fire "destroys" the ammo in that part of the mech. Ammo explosions have a 10% chance of happening (per ammo that gets destroyed). So, your legs are the most volatile thing in the mech.
Oh, I forgot I asked this question here. Thanks for the answer, and any you may have left on that other thread.

I've told this story a couple of times here, and I'll tell it again because it's a very appropriate thread.
...
My theory is that HSR is more buggy then we think. I don't believe it happens very often, but I do believe that occasionally HSR allocates more damage to a weapon than it should. Maybe it hiccups and thinks that the weapon hit twice and deals twice the damage, I don't know. We don't notice it unless it happens when we are in that perfect situation where no other mechs are around and we are completely fresh. I was in that perfect situation when HSR decided to take a {Scrap} and I paid dearly for it.
It does exist and I sent a ticket in.
I seem to remember patches notes that said something about bug where damage was applied twice. Apparently, it hasn't gone away.
But your story reminded me of a similar indicident I had with my Hunchback 4SP back in February. I basically got killed after only a couple of hits, and they weren't headshots as most of my armor was still in tact, save for the CT that mysteriously blew up...
