Well that was super anti climatic. The hero atlas, 6 lasers 1 B 1 M...
Good variant, should have been a stock one. But it's a hunk of junk for it's value/hero status.
expected so much more from the Hero atlas, like jump jets or ballistics in each arm.

Ohh me oh my! The one Hero mech I was going to buy.... not so much now.

I was honestly gunning for the double ballistic torso or something totally unique and awesome. Don't get me wrong 6 energy points is BOSS!

The battle master will be much more efficient and less of a target I think. I got the Pheonix package so I won't be jumping on this hero mech right away.

I Hope and think this is perhaps the best Atlas yet, as it should be. Just add ECM to it and you get my money!

I hope the 3 lasers on each arm showing up like that means they went back and added dynamic weapons to the rest of the atlai and possibly other old mechs

Medium Lasers are one of the best weapons in the whole game right now... 6 Mediums PLUS an AC/20 Is some serious hurt.. throw a few Streaks in that shoulder and you have a insanely powerful Brawler.

30 bucks Is worth the amount of time I'll be using this one.. but with lots of 'Mechs coming to me this month, I may not buy the Boar Head right away. Would have instant bought this a few months ago..

Yes, weight classes are very off-balance when it comes to Hero mechs. As if they don't want to bother creating cheaper mechs and aknowledge the superiority of assaults instead of "all weights equal". It's the first Hero of any chassis that was in the Founders Pack.

Well they did say the assault class is the end game and higher avatar.

And the atlas is the highest mech in game according to the AtD.

If it was a double ballistics or double missiles, i would have bought it right away.
But 3 energy in the arms, seeing how you generally use yours arms as shield and lose them pretty quick ... just meh.

This is gonna be one nasty mech, so many ways to make it a killer. Tobad most people who run it won't realize they are still just an atlas.

Technically it's possible to put 6 large lasers on there and an AC20. Just did it on SSW with a Standard 300 and ES and 2 tons of AC20 ammo (less engine and one less external heatsink if you want more ammo).

The heat management on the other hand would be pretty harsh. So most likely the loadout will be kept as is but upgraded with the usual bigger engine and DHS, maybe ES. There will of course be everything in between so it should be entertaining.
