Every time i try to play this game now, it just ****** me off.
played 4 matches yesterday, by the time i was done, I so angry, like yell at little kids mad. So i went down to the range and unloaded 600 rounds as fast as possible. I felt better but my wallet didn't lol. ftg

That's part of why I quit playing MWO for now... I can't afford the ammo to vent my stress at this game right now.

Looks very promising. I am looking forward to those features, the game really needs them as soon as possible.

Thats why I shoot Black Powder. By the time you get 600 rounds down range, CW will be here.

....I'm assuming the people excited over this are relatively new to MWO? You guys do know that Bryan said this exact same thing in the PC Gamer interview a year ago right? There's only been a few minor changes to his presentation, it's been a year and all they did was rehash their CW speech slightly instead of actually having something concrete.

It'll be interesting to see if they at least have the barebones up by next month considering Phoenix pack comes with loyalty boosters, so they'll need to add in systems for that.

I am SURE it will take longer than projected, I am SURE there will be bugs/issues, but I am also SURE that IF they (IGP/PGI) can pull it off, this WILL be the best game ever made!!!

I'll guess taking all the affirmations, turning them into negations, and vice-versa will give me a clear picture of what CW will be...

So... more 12v12 random deathmatch on the same maps we have now, with an artificial grind to level 60 for Wolfs Dragoons Clan Tech.

Oh boy.

Hey, look at the bright side! New players will get to enjoy using a trial SHS mech against min-maxed custom Daishis and Mad Cats!

I sincerely hope that "CW promise" ends up being "fool me twice, shame on me".

Because... selling the Boars Head is shameless enough.

MC-only Mad Cats unless you have completed your grind to Level 60 and unlocked the Wolf Dragoon prestige class.

Can't wait for the Mechs of Pandaria expansion pack.

The best part about it is basically UI 2.0 has none of the features to improve the current mechlab and interface. All we saw was a new Cash shop and a full screen window. It will have no part sharing feature to share engines between mechs, No lobbys, no private lobbys, the childish notion of an esport without it is pathetic.

Then there is this community warfare, more like MASSIVE GRIND, You're gonna need to grind loyalty for C-bills AND mechs and equipment. Even worse, it sounds like the guild/platoon/Clan system is basically designed to tax into players grind for them. The only thing you're getting is a cosmetic until there is a reason to have a group. Even worse the system is going to punish larger groups to have to play to keep up with the tax.

There was a system like this in PlanetSide, starwars galaxies and Star conflict. Only problem is those didn't punish players, they simply deleted groups that hadn't been active for X amount of time and offered things to the player from the get-go.

Even worse their system reeks of 4th faction abuse, or in simple terms FOTM houses or factions. Meaning It's going to be the same balancing act we've had this year but with houses and groups. If you're WrestleHogs and afraid of having the lowest population in MWO, fear even more if Steiner or Kurita or who ever gets the FOTM stick. As all of your faction and others jump ship to push the unbalanced group into 70% of the playerbase destroying the galactic map.

My favorite part is they explain the grind and the system they intend to use, BUT WE HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE REWARDS ARE. THINK ABOUT THIS, they're telling you we've got a complicated and heavy grind ahead of ourselves and no context to what we get in return.

Will we even get anything? Dropships and assaults on planets are meaningless without an idea on what we're getting out of it. Players are already at the limit of carrot and stick gimmick, if CW doesn't offer anything to the player no one is going to play it.

No one is going to want to be hassled " Hussled? just to have fun.

From their hints, I would guess that the grind rewards include either Clan tech and/or "gold weapons" (aka normal weapons with a manufacturer name slapped on and +x% stat boosts).

I'm pleased with what I see, though I wonder how some things would work and a bit worried as PGI's set a very tight schedule.

In the following 5 years, thats very tight indeed :]
Community Warfare must be here, on the release.
Iam not going to play MWO again ever, until they implement it so we can forget about this horrible grind and arcade 3rd p.v. gameplay.

P.S.

There are thousands of planets on the inner sphere and we got some 1/2 a dozen of maps done so far.. That's something that ran through my mind for quite sometime.

From what I understand, the "tax" is set by the Mercenary Corps leader. This tax drops c-bills into a universal fund that is used to purchase drop-ships, upgrade planetary bases, and probably upkeep bases you already have. The "tax" does NOT go to the developers, I think that misunderstanding needs to be squelched right now. The purpose is to have a way for the Corps to amass funds for contracts and other corps-wide actions and purchases.

I think the tax system is stupid. It may sound cool first, but then you have some kid slap a 50% tax and then you are like "well I guess I'm a lone wolf now". I don't like it when players are given power over other players in an online game where everyone is anonymous.

They did say that phase one would be within a week or two of UI 2.0 and they've previously stated that the UI should be sometime next month in the Eckman interview.

The video presented concepts only - not a proof of concept or actual gameplay - simply concepts, like 'high level scope'. The amount of things that will change and reprioritize in the next 6 months will be significant to say the least. I'll say this; if we're still playing the SAME GAME as we are now with 2 game modes and a few more buffs/nerfs/new mechs on sale/a map or two in 6 months time there will be much fewer of us around and much less actually retaining and staying active in the game
