PGi, I'll make you a deal.... Give us glowing atlas eyes back, and I'll buy the BK pack... Give us glowing eyes cockpit item I can slap in any mech I want, and I'll buy the mauler pack, upgrade my Wave 3 to Gladiator, and buy the top tier of the next pack regardless of what it is :P

Why the glow was removed in first place? Anyone knows/remembers ?

Its been mentioned a few times.

Basically, you know how the 3PV drone can be seen almost clear across the map due to the red glowy dot.
Well, the same was true for the Atlas eye glow, and all you had to do was aim for the left dot (right? I forget which side the Atlas cockpit is) to headshot them.

That's why it was originally removed.
However, having it as an option, or tone down the glow, would be fine.

Meh. Instead of simply making it visible at close range only, turn it off completly.

More simple in program coding I suppose.

Even knowing exactly where the head is... It's still incredibly difficult to hit the Atlas cockpit... Or any mech cockpit for that matter.... I think they went just a smidge too far reducing its size. Not a lot, but a little bit...
