People died to Atlas head shots a lot when the head was that entire face.
Once the head hit box was one of its eyes, this stopped being a problem.

I remember the first match I finally got a dual gauss K2 rolling in closed beta. 4 atlas head shot kills in a row. I remember complaining that it was broken back then that the build existed... I didn't know until much later that Atlases had giant heads to hit.

Blinking Eyes lol good way to send signals across the battlefield in Morse code.

"I think it was that he is out of Cheese"

"What?"

Let them be an achievement for players that reached a thousand kills driving an Atlas'.

Make em toggle, defaulted off at the start of the match.

AND

They aren't visible til ECM range. Just think about it, your electronics go static and you hear 100 ton foot steps... and a pair of glowing red eyes
Now just need em to add an energy hardpoint in head for a flamer coming out of the jaw of that atlas skull

they should glow when actively firing, just like when the catapult fires the bay doors open up.

I want an atlas with two energy hardpoints in it's head. Any lasers on those hardpoints are automatically red regardless of size and come from the eyes or mouth. ;)
It's silly to build something that tall and not put a weapon on the top.

I'd love to be able to activate the glowing eyes whenever I successfully sneak up on the enemy in an Atlas, so they'll know just how screwed they are.

Still hoping for glowing eyes. I'd even buy a AS7-K if that was it's differentiating feature...

Edit: Perhaps it would be easier (hahaha, the programmers will curse me now) to link it to the cockpit light. Lights off - eyes off. Lights full - glowing eyes.

Brilliant!

P.s. I might pay a dollar or two for this, and since I know PGI will immediately decide to charge 500% of what people might consider paying. NOT 10 DOLLARS!
