"And so our mandate at the beginning was, really, to do, not only what we wanted to do but to give the fans really what they wanted"

Really?

The apparantly give fans what they really want - they sell them mechs, and they buy it.

What you really want is not necessarily what you think you wanted.

They look tired and worn down. The game probably beat the {Scrap} out of them mentally. Russ needs a Mowhawk and a axe. Bryan, well he needs beer and an axe.
If they programmed Axes into the game all would be forgiven. I'd stride the Battlefield like a shining God in a 400STD Boar's Head with Dual axes.

That would be awesome. I always envisioned hitting and kicking as a programable feature for a mech. Where you hit a button and it throws a right cross or a angled downward chop rather than you having any real control over it.

Funny "its a beta" excuses have turned into "development takes time" excuses.

Yup.

In the fashion world you always hear "[insert color] is the new black."

In gaming, "these things take time" is the new "it's just a Beta."

Those who live to make excuses for their idols can't give up making them.

Madcat concept art at 6:10 is totes legit.

Overall the interview's pretty okay. Mechwarrior OnScreen? Yes please. (Also Weisman, glorious as he is, is not favored by the camera in this interview.)

I lol'ed at the madcat. No, really. That's literally a catapult chassis with arms.

Mind, that WOULD explain why the onboard computer was confused as to whether it was a catapult or a marauder.

When they take a fake madcat concept art, then it should be a good one :Posted Image

True. But still ... such crapy catapult madcat fusion shouldnt be in such an interview. (Sry if i hurt the feelings of the creator)

hmm dont know. The arms are too low for the mk II and the misslepods too small (dislike both on this design) I think it should be a timberwolf with a mwo touch but it lose some timberwolf feeling with this arms and misslepods.

They're both not right looking, I'd rather see this one. [mind you the picture in the spoiler is using 2 "Twin linked SRM6s , 2 of which are rear firing, a concept that we probably wont ever see in MWO, and what appears to be PPCs]

Spoiler

But anyway, if I were Mr. Weisman, I'd be slightly proud and yet disappointed in this game. I'm not sure if he's even played it.

Beside of slow progress and bad communication ( with the last info about cw they made a step in the right direction ) why he shouldnt be proud?

ps.: i count the "lies" to bad communication. Im not a blind {Noble MechWarrior} but i can understand them a little. Its hard when u see u cant do something what u promised or must keep the pugs happy with features that veterans dislike. Pgi could avoid many flamewars with better comunication.

ps.ps.: lol the system changed my fan....boy to noble mechwarrior XD
