Do you ever play without ECM? If so, how often?

Also, is it just sleep deprivation + not having made a poll in a while, or is the option to create a poll nowhere to be found?

I always use ECM on a mech that has it! Why not to? Many mechs have their only advantage over others because of it (3M, DDC) and it only weights 1,5 tons!

All the ECM mechs are kinda lightly armed so it makes no sense to skip the ECM. ECM isn't an invisible cloaking device, but it's handy to have. I'm usually in a sdr-5d tagging for lrms or escorting other mechs with my ECM blanket. When I run a non ECM mech, there's a 3-4 drop "transition period" lol.

If mech is ECM capable..why not use it, right? ;)

I am playing 1 ECM mech (cicada) while others without..and honestly.. while I love my little beastly cicada.. ECM is not making this mech invincible .. well, ECM is not even the biggest advantage of that mech honestly :)

Nope, but it is an asset that helps team (and yourself) greatly. I am not saying you should buy ECM mechs because it would be the best thing, but if you have an ECM capable mech, why not to use it when it's only 1,5 tons?

I have 2 ECM mechs, Cicada & Raven, but Raven not as often. And does depend on what game mode I am playing.
These are useful mechs and worth having specially when teams start with LRM bombardment.

ECM works for both you and your team, specially if you have BAP. Not all powerful, just a pain to the other team.

It appears to be disabled almost everywhere, it might still be in Feature Suggestions, though I haven't checked.
Apparently Polls are evil now.

I run a DDC and its a good mech but as pug only its 50/50 with being useless. Its a team device in an assault mech because its hard to hide 100 tons and you just painted a big target on your forehead. If your team doesn't understand .its use its pointless having it. If they do use it to their advantage it can help win matches. Still love driving it sometimes.

I cannot speak to ECM lights not being a light pilot. Light to me is 50 tons. ;)

I have an equal amount of fun with both the 3L and the 4X. I usually use the 3L more often when I'm grouping for the tactical effect.

I have every ECM mech mastered, but I don't mind not using ECM. When it comes to lights they need energy hardpoints to really get effective damage out the door. I prefer the CDA-2A to the 3M, and the COM-TDK to the 2D. Still, none of them can touch the JR7-F.

My D-DC has served me very well over the last...9 months. Also 50 tons? Thats a dock workers Exo-Lifter not a Light! Now a true light is a Zeus!

I used to run my raven alot. Then I ran my spider with ECM.... I dunno.. I gravitated towards jenners myself. Like them far too much for my own good. Champion Spider is fun too. I like ECM but I tend to prefer playing the mechs without it.

ahh frogot my DDC.... admitedly I am guilty of liking the armored bear.

I own one DDC and I rarely use it. When I do, I do it with ECM.

Just as I put JJs on every possble 'Mech.

When I drive my Atlas-DDC, I always bring ECM. If the Team wants ECM coverage they have to come to me. ;)

If I drive my Raven-3L I always bring my ECM. If any on the Team want to use it, I will bring it to those who stay together. :)

I always add ammo to my Ballistic based Mechs as well. ;)
