Afaik in fluff there's an explanation that our Heatsinks are capable to drop heat in vacuum and atmosphere.
However a space map would be really cool and sun/shade areas would be nice to fight over.

It's more that "Heat Sinks" in BattleTech are not so much "true heat sinks" ("a passive heat exchanger that cools a device by dissipating heat into the surrounding medium") as they are "heat pumps" ("a device that transfers heat energy from a heat source to a heat sink against a temperature gradient... designed to move thermal energy opposite the direction of spontaneous heat flow... uses some amount of external high-grade energy to accomplish the desired transfer of thermal energy from heat source to heat sink"), of which a "true heat sink" is merely one component.
In other words, they're less like the small finned assemblies inside our computers, and more like a refrigerator or air-conditioner.

Been looking but could not find a time for the downtime, so I might've missed it somehow...

Whatever were you place those? I mean in the back with at 45° / they should push both up and forward only, but under feet facing down a Spider should have the possibility to move forward/backward placing legs accordingly.
It would be cool if they could take so many details in consideration, would add more build diversity. Many would then want JJ in feets for better manoeuvrability so this mean many would move ammos in upper parts where explosions are more critical, so maybe C.A.S.E. will now get used?

Publix is pleased to present new LASER SLICED HAM! You can run, you can try to hide, but when 100 tons of baked ham is coming at you just go ahead and go get the spicy honey mustard.
For those of that know the supermarket chain Publix (as was pointed out earlier in this thread) I can not help myself but think of a giant mech made out of 100 tons of baked ham. Or Maybe bacon lol
