When Will Clans Come?

I tried looking but most of the respnses are from over a year ago. I am guessin gonce this goes out of Beta the clock will start? Just wondering if anyone knows when the is slated to occur.

ALso how will on ebe able to obtain clan tech?

We have no secure details. Clans will come probably not any sooner than Q3 2014 .. And they may restart the timeline from 3049.

Yeah... Clans come after UI 2.0 and Community Warfare... We supposedly have UI 2.0 in testing, but Community Warfare probably barely even started since it's release is entirely reliant on UI 2.0. At the earliest I'd guess a year from now.

They are discussing a timeline reset so I'm figuring we might as well start using this as September 3049 and work from there.

The devs don't even know. It'll be done when it's done. First they have to get ui 2.0 and cw out of the way, then the clans.

Yeah... probably another year or so. But the Timber Wolf/Mad Cat art has been drawn up.. I hope they show It at the Launch Party, or It would also make a nice Christmas present :]

would be cool if they release a video or concept art of the timby for launch or even better let us play with it on the testing ground^^
but i fear we have to wait until late 2014 and this will be a shame.
i think all of us claners get sick of sittin another year in that IS Mechs.

The Clans are a lie now and we all know it. PGI have been stitching us up for months now and that is a trend which is unlikely to stop in the upcomming year.

Best case scenario, we will be looking at November next year when the Invasion restarts. But at this point I still maintain never.

Only another 1037 years until they are implemented; can't wait!

We've still barely seen any 'real' information about UI 2.0 other than "we're coding it".

We need to wait for that information then the actual implementation of UI 2.0 on the test server... Go through the testing phases, then get it brought onto live. Which I can't imagine realistically PGI getting through all of that until the beginning of next year at best. -After- that they'll probably need to get coding Community Warfare... Work on implementing it for testing... Test it... Modify it... Test it some more... Repeat probably several times before finally pushing it live.

The sad reality I'm seeing is that we may be into Q3 or 4 of next year before we might have a hope of seeing Community Warfare. (Unless they're further ahead on both UI 2.0 work and CW coding than they're letting on) Which could give them plenty of time to develop the Clan mechs on the side, but they'd still need to add the ability to join and play as the Clans in the CW game on top of that after.

It also seems that every time they say, "Oh, we're working hard on UI 2.0/CW! You can expect a sneak peak next month..." It's always pushed back a month.. And back a month... And back another month. I understand why they don' tell us certain things, or wait to say other things. But I really wish they would at least be straight-forward with the progress they're making on things that were -suppose- to be what determined when the game was coming out of beta... Honestly I don't see what about Sept 17 makes the game any less of a Beta than it was a several months ago. It's the same thing with a few more mechs and some resolved balance issues that would have taken a few weeks at best to fix.

It depends on what do you mean you think may be in Q3 or Q4. "Initial factions and units" (= nothing special) or IS map and planets conquest" ? :)

I think they might push live phase 1 some months after UI 2.0, but i am given to understand that the hard part will come later, and are you sure that there will be no sudden problems which will cause delays? And if people keep leaving and asking refunds, they will sell us even decals at the great price of 15$ each to get the money to keep developing the game. Well,i am quite optimistic,quiaff? :lol:

Unless the Clan Mechs have appropriate Clan weapons per canon, we will only be offered IS weapons in different packaging.

Most of that is true, of course they could encounter a lot of problems along the way. It's almost a given with adding something as big as CW and completely rebuilding the UI. Of course there -is- the possibility that they have more progress on both features than we actually know...

As for people leaving/asking for refunds. That's mainly just the people whining about their poptarts being nerfed. I actually purchased the Overlord/Saber packages recently because I saw that they removed poptarting from the meta. So some players will leave, some players will come back. I wouldn't be too worried about it.

Am I the only one who has noticed that the Inner Sphere News feed has stopped. I guess with all the trouble they are having with getting CW out they have stopped advancing the timeline. There even was a few ISN reports that mentioned the Clans in subtle ways if you knew what to look for. If they didn't stop the timeline then the Clan should be a well known threat to the whole IS now. After all the invasion was started in march of 3050.
