Did Crimson Strait Get Playtested?

Since ECM isn't factored into team balance at all, whichever side gets some stomps the snot out of whichever side gets shafted, er, gets none.
ONE ECM equipped Mech shielding the rain of death is about all it takes.
Please recognize that balance needs to be a bit more than a tonnage equation. Especially when systems behave differently than the board game that inspired them.
Have the devs drop in 100 matches with one side getting ECM and the other not and see what they can do with it. I'll bet the statistical results will shock them.
It's a beautiful map. It's an unbalanced map given the current design of the "matchmaker."

Just because you've had some good matches doesn't invalidate the point. In my experience, 100% of my Crimson Strait encounters have followed that pattern. In most of the cases I've been on the receiving team (not fun at all) and only in one case was I lucky enough to be on the "giving" side (still not really much fun).
You can claim I'm a terrible player but I was only 1 of 12. Maybe we were all awful. Or maybe, just maybe, there's actually a problem with the match making, map, or both.

The open bay is another story, but I doubt most players would spend much time out there even if there were no lrms at all.

Just wondering.. How to do you in Caustic Valley ?
Strangely enough Caustic and Blood Bay as similar sized maps.
Guess which map has more cover against LRMs ?

Did you drop into a pug? ever consider it might be alot more balanced for competative play?
Game isnt balanced around ur random blast drops. It would be a joke if it was.
Edit: op does make some valid points, its just that you cant cry ecm balace in pugs. Its not the map its the players even if the match maker is suspect
