In light of the upcoming release of the so called "Second Founders Project", I would like to propose an idea to show these Project Phoenix bros who the true Mechwarrior fans are.
Basically, I propose that on October 15, Founders solely use their Founder 'Mechs, for the purpose of bagging as many Project Phoenix kills as possible.
Now, don't get the wrong idea. I have nothing against Project Phoenix or anyone who purchases any of the five packages. I will openly admit that I have already purchased the Project Phoenix Overlord package myself and intend to enjoy my new 'Mechs and such, eventually. Likewise, I do not intend this "March of the Founders" to be an act of hate or protest against PGI's Project Phoenix. I simply think it would be really awesome to have a large scale revolution of Founders in a showdown with the inevitable wave of Project Phoenix 'Mechs which will no doubt be flooding the battlefield during and after the project's release day.
In short, I challenge all MWO Founders (including myself) to play on the 15th with only our Founder's 'Mechs and our pride, taking special pride in any Project Phoenix 'Mechs we manage to overcome in the process. For added effect, it would be especially awesome for said Founders to use their original Founder paint jobs.
I'd like to hear everyone's opinions regarding this idea, founder or otherwise, and whether or not they're going to join in. In addition, it would be cool if anyone interested would vote on the poll up at the top of this thread, which will contain some primary opinions regarding the "March of the Founders".
Great idea but alas... I have waited too long to play the new mechs.... I may load up my old hunchie and see how it stands up wot the new mechs though!

I will join you with my founders mech.
Although I do have the Phoenix Mechs too.

Because this is not for those who missed out on the only MWO Founders package.
No one is getting anything that says "Hey! I was there from the beginning supporting PGI!"
And mostly because this isnt the last bundle sale we will see. There will be many more to come later. I am pretty sure thats why we havent had the clans yet. I am almost certain once they get all they can get from Project Phoenix. PGI will release a similar package deal but with clan mechs. And further more they will probably do the samething but with faction mechs. *Mechs that are specifically developed from Davion, Steiner, Kurita ect ect.
Bottom line:
I could play my founders mechs. I do play them from time to time. And love every minute of it and when I am not dropping in them. I really wish I would. But my other mechs arent going to level or unlock perks by themselves.
Its a good initiative. And I would like to definately see something like this if they were to do like a MWO Release founders titled or any kind of bundle with the "Founders" being in the title. But this particular one isnt. They just created some old school battletech mechs. Bundled them up and stuff a few extra things in the goody back if you preordered.

Bagged a quite a few with my Alpha Cat too (2x PPC and 2x AC10)... Locusts seem to go pop especially nicely with it. : )

I only have my HBK efficiencies unlocked and that has not hampered my gameplay with my other mechs. They are not a crutch - you can play well without them.
