No PGI, no mechgame. That's about how it is, and that is what we are stuck with.
Constructive critisicm is useful.
90% of this drivel is not.

You're being generous on that 90% figure.
It's pretty cute watching you two just high-fiving each other back and forth, liking every post the other makes.

Basically every week or so you pull up this "You aren't being constructive! Why aren't you making your own mech game?" nonsense. One time, I asked you if you had a least-favorite movie and then asked how you could be critical of it when you are not a filmmaker poised to create your own release. It's awfully tired Panda.
The best part is I've seen you drift between two different threads within the same week, first asking why we don't have the ability to produce fan content such as new maps in one thread, while asking a critic in another thread why mech fans aren't making the change they desire to see.
Awfully disingenuous of you, when you know we neither have the ability to provide content or feedback for this mech game and the last fan group that was making a mech game lost the license -- in favor of this one.

In my career, I face the occasional piece of criticism. The immature childish response of, "oh well you should just shut up unless you can do better!" would get me fired in a nanosecond.
Why you think that kind of discourse is appropriate here is quite telling.

DID SOMEBODY SAY MARAUDER?

Wich model is that? As in type of marauder?
Also looks an awfull lot like the cataphract (i mean the shoulders are basically the same)... way to broad shilouette and its legs are not birdlike enough.. so while the design is cool it just doesnt say "marauder" to me.
The marauder was the grandfather of alot of birdlike mechs, pioneering alot of their system. This here looks more like a humanoid mech then a birdleg mech.
Take away these things and it becomes just another wishy washy design like many of the current ones.
EDITH:
Waaaait a second.. isnt that just a kitbashed cataphract?

actually the "Cataphract" is a Kitbashed "Marauder, ShadowHawk and PheonixHawk" so that means I merely
tried to do a Iglesified version of this

ended up making a version all its own... like them heroes

Nice effort but requires more work to ensure maximum rage from the forum!
at least my Effort is actual EFFORT and not just whining on the forums
"make your own game" this
"you'd make a horrible artist" that
yeah, people need to stop bashing others who have the drive and actually do something productive... like kitbashing mechs together

You need to earn about 30,000 more "likes" but at least you won't need to wrest an expensive license away from a timid owner!
I like how Heffay visited your profile.
"N-noo. He can't have that many likes it can't be!"

Right. and they had nothing else to accomplish in the past 2 years that was more important to do first, like finish the mech combat part...
By finish you mean just remove things that they couldn't 'figure out' i.e collision? Or do you mean endless wild weapon balances? Or do you mean failing for MONTHS to fix yellow screen drop bug? Or do you mean adding 3pv? Or do you mean consistently underestimating the time to develop their game and giving dates that were just way too optimistic? Do you mean making a mech game in the 21st century with 0 destructible world art?

I just wonder...where do you see a promise? I see a line about their plan to deliver community warfare over the next 6 months in three phases. I don't see promises. Plan are plans, not promises on what will be delivered. I fully expect that in 6 months, we will have parts of CW, and maybe even 3 phases, but for sure things will get left off and deferred and etc. And this is not me defending PGI, its me understanding the software industry as a whole, especially if their SDLC is Agile/Sprint based as they say they work. That's the whole purpose. Be flexible but still be able to deliver something that works and can be improved on.
Let your words be your word. They shouldn't have to say I promise, and then have us inspect their hands to see if their fingers were crossed. When they say, UI 2.0 in 4 weeks it should come out in 4 weeks or they should explain why. Community warfare in 6 months? sure we'll start a clock.
No one believes them because we're currently 12 months past the first 6 month deadline and nary a word about what caused the delay.
Just say this, "The net code wasn't where we wanted it to be when we had to choose to refocus the team on community warfare or fix the underlying game 18 months ago, in that time we've made numerous systems changes and improved the net code drastically. We're finally to the point where we're looking for cracks in the foundation and not deciding whether to rebuild the house or not. That was where we wanted to be before CW became the major focus of the team, and we've hit that mark."
See how that one paragraph both accepts responsibility and explains what you're taking responsibility for?
Let your words be your word.

Well where are YOUR well-written posts with a 4.8:1 like:post ratio? Maybe you ought to stop being so critical until you can achieve a 4.8:1 like:post ratio. I'd hope you could see what I'm getting at.
