Supposedly they cancel each other out and you get the normal target decay rate. ~2 secs?

You maintain lock for 1.5 seconds after the mech with radar dep is out of LOS.

they cancel each other in a sense that advanced decay still adds 1.5 secs and radar derp still removes 2 secs of the basic decay, so as iraqiwalker said you get 1.5 secs instead of 3.5

Is the team score you get from a game the same score that contributes to the Tournament score or is it calculated separately?

Separate calculation, detailed in event listing.

Yeah I just didn't know whether normal score is also formulated like that to.

it refers to the sort of damage the IS PPCs, IS Autocannons and all Gauss rifles deal, as in all the damage is dealt to the same component of the Mech.
those weapons are the best way to remove components and kill Mechs with minimal damage and as quickly as possible if you are a good shot who is able to lead targets (unlike me)

Lasers are PP, but their damage is DOT (Damage Over Time).

While SRMs are FLD (Front Loaded Damage), but it's not Pinpoint.

PP FLD is the best recipe for damage. All the damage is dealt with one hit, in a split second, and to one location.

Heroes can not change their camo. Only their colors. It's part of their identity (PGI is contemplating changing that, but I'm personally against it)

I think the idea is that hero mechs should be easily identified as the hero they are...would Von Richtofen have painted his Fokker Triplane blue? (OK, I know he flew other 'planes which weren't red but you get my point?). It makes sense to me that hero mechs should stay as they are, in fact I am not even sure you should be able to change the colour scheme.

Not exactly. Heroes are a custom model, almost always with unique geometry, and hardpoints. Almost every single one of them is based on a canon custom mech (That's how we can guess which her is coming for a chassis, usually). So they have lore behind them, and more personality. The camo is usually based on what they actually had.

Part of the appeal of a Hero is supposed to be the unique skin. I suppose this seemed more appealing before we had all the camos we have now.

Yeah. All Centurions look the same. Then you run into the one with the Sunburst design, and it's under 300 meters, and you get that "Oh $#!t" moment, because you KNOW that's an AC 20 headed for your face.

Where the sam-duckery is the quirk information for owned mechs in the new mechlab? I swear with each new layout while they get some things better they tend to make other things worse. Yes, the Expanded Display (dropdown menu from Column Display) is fantastic. But even then, still no quirk info.
