I already wrote to PGI support and got no reasonable answer to this problem. Of course it maybe caused by some mystake on the route to NA servers but what is really strange I didn't have any problem before EU server patch started with NA host servers before. My lattency from Central Europe was worse(around 120-150 ms) then "normal" but still I could play without big issues.
Now the game is showing me almost all the time the samevalues of lattency but I have really huge unacceptable packet losses during playing. I mean walking mechs on one place, then jumping forward, etc. ...
First of all I thought it maybe my router, or problem on my side(I discussed it with my isp and they told me everything is good) but when I play EU or OC servers there is no packet loss.
The game experience is much worse on NA servers with ping 120-150 ms then on OC servers with ping 250-300 ms where is just taking place higher lattency but no big packet losses.

Yes they do. I bought my MPL module when it was just tier 2, and when I upgraded to tier 5, so did the module installed in my mech.

During the sale I unlocked level one of quite a few just so I could buy them cheap. Given I spent close to 30 million, they better upgrade!! :P

They do. It's a total of 3500 to get a module up to tier 5. Though if you already unlocked tier 1 (500 GXP) that leaves only 3000 GXP per module.

Hey, I was wondering, how do you go about setting up individual matches again? Not solo or CW, bunt if you want to challenge one particular player in combat. It has been a while, I have forgotten how you do it

Create a private match lobby. You need a player on each team to have premium time active, and you need to disable the "full teams" option in order for you to launch anything less than 12 v 12

Is any damage caused by an air/artillery strike that you call included in your match total?

yes, it is, I have died without firing a shot before but got over 100 damage from a well placed strike, it also counts for kills and assists

To the best of my knowledge PGI have made no announcement about changing the servers but I have noticed my ping to the NA servers (from the East of England) has improved by about 5, it has usualy been between 95 and 100 since the EU servers came on line, before that it was usualy between 100 and 105, so it is plausible that the servers may have moved closer to the UK

I'm thinking the routing improved. We might be getting more direct hops to and fro the server.

Question: BAP - Is it even worth it anymore? I haven't kept up with the nerfs/buffs it may have had in the past few months.

Is it worth it for IS LRM boats?
Is it worth it for IS SSRM2 boats?

Very worth it for SSRM, useful but not absolutely necessary for LRM.

Is it polite to play with bad internet? Using speedtest.net, I usually get at least eight up and down (sometimes over seventeen) but occasionally go to ~two. I do contribute, but I'm one of the lower scores in those cases.

playing with a bad internet connection is not impolite, however it could give you a disadvantage, stability is much more important than speed, an 8 megabit connection should play fine.

A 2 mb connection is fine as long as it doesn't drop packets

BAP is so good right now, that I'm honestly considering removing ECM from my mechs. No jokes. When the 90 meter range adjustment to ECM is put through, I'm probably not going to use ECM anymore. BAP already shuts down ECM well beyond ECM's range.

Aside from countering ECM, BAP is very good for brawling mechs, and scouts, because it increases target acquisition speed. Meaning the target's paper doll pops up faster than normal.

I would say the only thing one should do is mention it when applying to a unit. Also with the new system, if you perform poorly (not saying play badly but Internet issues interfere) you will be ranked lower and thus matched against other players who perform similarly.

Anyone who can't grasp the above and <Ok fine> WHINES is a <self censored so the mods don't have to>.

I'd imagine that several players who are "below average" are there simply because of their poor computer specs or connection.

Question: Why do people say they report me for trolling because I play a Jenner when I get TKed by someone who TKed at least one other guy in my team?! Are people stupid?

b-but -_-

the main power of ecm it's that they cannot target you from further than 1/4 of their radar range, i.e. for mechs without bap from 200 meters and for those with bap from 250... further than that you are invisible and safe, it doesn't change; ecm umbrella it's like an additional bonus... to cover your allies, to jam enemies... for the most of solo running lights 90 meters is even better than 180 because it allows them to sneak easier without that 'low signal' message on their enemy radars, that 'nerf' (which is actually a buff for stuff like arctic cheetahs) makes harder to cover your allies and harder to swarm and jam a streakboat, and that's all; if anything bap/cap needs an additional buff even with the ecm range nerf
