Hmm, way back I had an issue with the launcher that would give me a similar response.

Try clearing your web cache via Internet Explorer (even if you never use it, it still does some legwork for applications in the background) and try again. If it still doesn't work I'd suggest writing support.

So, just how important IS my Tier rating? I've been working to Elite my WVR chassis (one and a half to go) and unlike my Zeuses I just don't get many kills or near as high damage output per match in my wolverine. (and since the weekend my team wins at best 1 out of five matches so I'm really unlucky lately). This morning I see I'm bucked down to Tier 5, a week ago I thought I was cruising toward T3.

Tiers are kinda ambiguous right now. at Tier 5 you're most likely to get paired up with newcomers, at Tier 1 not so much. DOn't worry too much, once your W/L stabilizes again, your Tier is sure to follow as that is the major factor in your Tier rating atm.

I mostly pilot Light Mechs with a lot of matches in a Spider, I do not usualy do much damage but help the team by scouting, spotting, distracting and harassing the enemy as well as providing ECM cover to the team,

I can win a 1v1 Light Mech dual against many t2 and t3 players in my unit, and am acknowledged as one of the best light pilots in the unit (of about 180 people),

when I was first allowed to see my PSR I found I was upper edge of t5, a few matches running the boring meta TDR-5SS was enough to move me into T4, so if you want to go to a higher tier play a high damage Mech and play selfishly, just go for kills and damage do not worry about playing to help the team, if you are after teamwork settle for a lower tier

Thanks Seth and Rogue. Makes sense.

Given the options, I believe I'll settle for the lower Tier and teamwork and just keep playing my less optimized but fun builds and just get good with them. Was just making sure there wasn't some terrible side effect of sliding down in ranks. :)

Agreed. If you're concerned about your e-peen and find that you can't have fun unless you always win then your tier should be important to you and it should be 1. 2 at worst.

If you enjoy running quirky builds and making things hard for yourself, welcome to tier 4 and 5, make yourself at home.

I run quirky builds way more than any meta, im T1... Its more about not dying needlessly, doing the damage, helping the team, not hiding. What mech your in and/or the build doesnt make that much difference. It's all about what you bring to the party as a player.

Okay, I have been browsing the forums on the forums, looking specically at the fan creations and fan fictions forums on the forum, but I have not been able to find any forum in which we can post original (non-BattleTech / MechWarrior) short stories, so i was wondering if there was a forum for that kind of thing, that I might have missed or if there is none at all, would anyone be able to tell me if there is such a thread for posting such things or not?

Cheers in advance for any and all replies/help.

Okay, I've unlocked Seismic Sensor. I don't have enough yet for Advanced.
If I buy the 6MM cbill module.. will I have to buy it again once I unlock Advanced.. or does the module work for either skill level unlock?

Module gets upgraded when you spend the GXP on the upgraded one, you'd only have to buy it again if you want to put a second one on another mech

Once in a while I check my Profile => Stats to see if I'm improving (kdr, aim, etc)
The odd thing I notice is only my cbill purchased mechs are tracked, my two loyalty mechs have ever shown up in my stats... known issue?

They will appear as their non-(L) version for their stats. For example, the King Crab (L) is the KGC-000(L). It's stats will appear with the KGC-000 stat line. They are the same variant, just the (L) has different geometry and camo. Just as it is the same for the (C) Champion mechs.

I hope this is helpful.

Hmmm, looking again and they are not there in any form oddly... only cbill
purchased chassis are listed and included which is unfortunate as I play my (L) variants a lot. I literally have only four stat lines instead of six (the two missing are any form of the (L) variants). On all the tabs too... even pilot modules (I've not equipped modules in the non-(L) mechs yet and weapon stats are low by the hours I've been driving the loyalty mechs.)

Anyway, thought I'd check and see if it was just me... sounds like it is. I'll drop a note to support and maybe they can tweak my account :)

Thanks!

The stats page is supposedly bugged as other users have reported. I haven't even looked at them for awhile. It is true that CW matches are not calculated.

So I can plan accordingly... when a purchased pack (such as the Marauder) includes modules... are those simply the physical modules? Meaning, do you still need to unlock the pilot skills to equip the modules or do they come with the unlock?

As far as I last knew, you still will have to unlock the module skill before you can use those modules. But, when you do, you will already have those modules purchased and ready to be used.

So, yes. You will own the physical (digital) module, but it will still be locked unless you unlocked their skill to be used. (Last I knew.)
