What does anchor turn do? It says "increase turning speed of mech" but I'm not sure what that means. Does it decrease the turn radius?

Is anchor turn useful for brawling mechs? Or are there better options, eg Torso Yaw?

You may Not notice it much on light mechs. But when you're stationary, moving at any speed, there are certain speeds you can turn. For example, moving at a slow speed (sub 25% speed) will actually allow you turn faster than if you're stationary, or going more than 25% speed, and MUCH faster than if you're going 100% speed (this is why it sucks to have the throttle set to be 100% or 0% depending on if pressed or not).

Anyway. It slightly increases your physical turning speed. Much more noticeable on heavier, slower mechs and lower engine speeds. I do believe there's a top speed for turning so super high engines probably won't notice it due to that cap on speed.

Torso yaw increases your twisting range. For example if you could only twist 45 degrees, you'd be able to twist X degress farther (or percentage of degrees farther).

I'd do 3 LPPCs if that's the case. 15 damage, no ghost heat, spread weapons would need to be multi-crit... Compared to a PPC and a LPPC (which is an extra ton if I'm right) for the same damage.

HPPC deals the 15 damage, so that is a consideration as well.

You have some coding in your post, and the forums aren't liking it. Beyond that, I don't know why you may be getting post too short... I though it was part of your coded post.

For the record, these forums don't like most coding. You can't change the color of your text for example.

I do not even know what coding in my post means. I'm just writing them as always.

Are there any daily quests in this game? Or things you can do daily for bonuses?

No, except each mech gets 2x XP from first win of the day.

Where I can find full, searchable, stacked and segregated quirk list for all mechs? Smurfy website doesn't list omnipod set bonuses.

I don't know of any "convenient" spot for that information all in one place, but for Omnipods, I tend to hover (if on the mech in Mechlab), or click (but not drag from the expanding equipment tab) any omnipods I have quirk questions about. They are all listed on every Omnipod.

As for individual mechs, I just go to the store in the game and do something very similar.

Although I do feel that PGI should have "Quirk" sections and then "skills/enhancements", as two separate sections in the mech overview. Having it all combined into one pool... really kinda makes everything murky.

Check the new events tab at bottom in game. Something tells me it may borderline into a semi daily thing.

That would be rather cool. I think it would be nice for the game to have near daily challenges. Doesn't even need to have "great and rare" prizes, just some extra C-bills for people would be nice. Would go a long way to help new players too, depending upon the challenges. I personally like the "get so much damage/experience/match score total", as every match adds into it and thus everyone will eventually get it. (Sorry, I'm droning on again.)

I was more into some offline searchable thing so I can put something like "LRM" and "missle" in search boxes to get quirks I am interested in, but also with omnipod set quirks that are not on smufys website.

In Comp Queue in order to be eligible for prizes does each player from team has to have 20 games done or just team or players needs those 20 games?

The website here had something like this, but not it looks like the format was changed and now does no longer have any search box.

I understand there was a change to supply caches and how you open them? How does this work if true?

I was using this website in past but it hasn't been updated for some time, many mechs were added or changed since then.

guys. if i had a suggestion to PGI regarding the improvement of a mech. where would be the best place to post it?
patch feedback seems more of the technical side of things.

No. There has been some mention from PGI that the caches may change in the future to an Overwatch-like system: you won't get to see what's in the box, but they'd cost nothing to open and instead of keys the monetization would be implemented as the ability to buy more boxes directly.

If there's a real problem with a mech's performance, you can always post it to the community-run issue tracker: https://github.com/M...-tracker/issues - AFAIK PGI is aware of that one and pays some attention to problems highlighted there.

However... don't take it as an offense, but 90% of the time when the phrase "suggestion to improve" comes up from a player of any game, the proposal has issues. They range from being poorly thought-out, violating the game's established canon in a major way (here it particularly means no tonnage or critspace changes, as they'd be invalidating every loadout in-game or any canon loadout PGI may want to add in the future) or are self-serving demands for buffs that would imbalance the game in the player's favor, in a nutshell too flawed to be worth consideration. You'll want to review your proposal, whatever it is, and make sure it doesn't fall into any of those categories.

Not to pick a fight, but *cough*cough*crit-splitting*cough*

I, uh, wouldn't worry all that much about canon, personally. It seems to be middling to low on the devs' priorities anyway.

@Dungeon 206, Horseman does have a very valid point regarding the self-serving nature of many change proposals.

What's crit-splitting?

Are there still one shot camo colors in this game? if so how do I avoid buying them?

Crit splitting is placing weapon to two locations, splitting it's critical slots. Useful for large weapons to make them fit more easily. This game doesn't have that.

I'm not sure what you mean, there are colors kinda related to patterns. But the colors aren't one shot themselves. They are permanently owned for all mechs and patterns.

on the loadout screen there is a dropdown for "unlockable" or "one shot"

One Shot costs between 75mc and 150mc, it is a single application for a single Mech, if you change the cammo, save then, at a later date want it back you would have to rebuy

unlock costs between 750mc and 1500mc, and unlocks the pattern for a single chassis, so you can apply it as many times as you want for any varient of that chassis, but it literaly costs 10 times what one shot does

if you spend 1,500MC to unlock Jade Falcon Cammo for a Timber Wolf then want to apply it to a Kit Fox, Dire Wolf, and Summonor you would have to purchase for each chassis, to unlock for 4 chasis you would be spending 6,000mc ($29.95 with 500MC left over) on the cammo, where as if you wanted to apply one shot to 3 each of those chassis you would spend 1800mc, ($14.95 with 1200MC left over)

I strongly recomend against unlocking unless you plan to keep changing cammo on multiple varients of a chassis, or the unlock is on sale for half price and you own at least 3 varients of the chassis.

Ultimately unlock or one shot is your decision but it is highly unlikely that "Unlock" would ever work out better value than "One Shot"
