The previous weapon nodes have been transformed into generic weapon nodes in the skill tree under firepower. Other modules are mostly located under the Sensors node and have been split apart for the full effect so you have to spend a lot of points to get the same effect, picking up different ones along the way. Overall, I like the direction from the previous module system. You can use either mech xp or gxp to unlock any skill point, but you probably won't use gxp as long as you had a decent amount of carryover from the old system in the form of HSP and HXP. I have like 800,000 GXP and nothing to use it on.

Is it just me, or does the gifted Nova (C) have 2 consumable slots by default, no skills required?

Not just you. Probably a bug, likely will be hotfixed sometime soon.

Sounds like a winner. I do not have resources to skill mine yet.

Odd question. Have Warhorns always worked at the Academy?

I liked your answer as far as movement which I will address there.

I'm living now at the Acadamy.

Do mech corpses block weapons fire?

I know:
They don't block movement or sensors.
They do block the Mk I eye ball.

Thanks!

Depends on how soon after death. Usually they're clear to fire through in 0.5s.

This one is dying and I shot through him before he even started to fall over to net my second kill.

Indeed, sometimes it can be instant... Other times it can be as long as a full second. It depends on ping times, and server decision times.

It is neat when you can use your enemy like sandbags, if only for a short time.

Really need quickly the name of that epic commander/player who gives orders, I believe he become a part of Battletech or something. The one screaming "I lead with my axe, I will die for You.." Want to present MWO to some people, and cannot recall his name.

I was honoured to serve with him!

As far as I remember, corpses are non-deteriministic which means the ragdoll displays differently for each player. Same with trees that get knocked down. Seems CryEngine kinda sucks as an engine for this game.

After joining a new faction, do we still have a 10-drop trial period before we can get faction rank points?

Yes, but no penalties for breaking contracts anymore.

Yep, it is true no penalty to change factions, except a 10 game penalty between new factions.

Hey, uh, what's a decent Highlander?

I was considering the 733C with an AC20/MRM40 build but then I realized that a Roughneck could pull that off too. I know the chassis isn't in a great place but dammit I'm buying one.

How much damage can you do with Air or Artillery strikes now (I know it was lowered).

I really wish the damage would pop up when using them. In fact, I'd like to see a damage readout like with the Acadamy turrets.

This game is not a great example, I need to remember to turn on OBS and play my Pirate's Bane(I forget to record 85% of my games and I also forget to turn it off).

I've had a couple of games lately with my "Conquest" Mechs(None of them have any skill nodes in Firepower) where I'm getting over 600 damage. My PB only has two HMGs so how did I do 670 damage two days ago? It has to be Air Strikes.

As you can see my general tactic is to use my speed to get behind them and drop two Air Strikes and two UAVs. My Stealth Pirate's Bane is scary good at this. Enemy mechs walk right past me and more than a few times I've run right through their whole team to put up a UAV.

P.S. Yes, I dropped two MGs and added a 1/2 ton of ammo after this game.
