Honestly with only a few tweaks the stock loadout is pretty damn good.
All i did was Drop in DHS, ENDO (Sigh, hate that it's mandatory but it is) and then switched out the SRM2 for a SRM6.

Did something similar; http://mwo.smurfy-ne...71390eb91c1c57f
Going to try it with an ER PPC first to see how it handles heat with the medium lasers, might drop it to a standard PPC if it has too much difficulty firing everything in conjunction. But I think LRM's are garbage so I dropped those for a second SRM-6, added Artemis, and upped the engine to get me close enough to let the SRM's loose.

ERPPC are too slow for me to bother with these days.
The heat I am fine with but how flipp'n slow they are makes it a nightmare to hit anything going over 100kph.
But come tuesday, let me know how it goes.

Both of those are really solid!
Although I have a problem with the Large pulse, which is fine in a singular natures but tends to rub me the wrong way when I have a Large pulse and medium lasers since they have the same range band and 2 meds = 1 Large pulse.
I just can't justify not with the weight and the heat.
So i am a ERPPC or GFTO (Er large) which frees up some tonnage for ya.

Oh I totally agree. I am using a Large Pulse...... jusT because I have no other mech I have used them on and I think there was a LPL on the Steiner version.

Thing is, LRM's are a suppression, closing, and softening weapon. Don't ever rely on them for primary damage, but rather use them to scare the p.iss out of whatever poor SOB you are currently closing on. Imagine LRM's as an LMG, where its primary purpose is to keep an enemies head down so they can't actually fight back.
I run a brawler Atlas, except I have 2x LRM10's and I sit back while the rest of my team goes and gets shot at during the beginning stages of the match. Gets me a guaranteed 200+ damage, on top of the massive damage I get from faceraping people.

Not really, we can either hear people complain about that for another week, or we'd have to listen to people complain about the hard-point locations being too low in game play for the rest of the game.

They probably did that to cover the large launcher (which, imo, is too big).

I'm leaning towards this:

But if that one SRM6 comes out of a 2 tube launcher then I will be very annoyed I think. If that's the case I might as well swap them for streaks and bump the one mlas up to a llas or ppc.

Having to run a STD engine might look like this:

You are I both.
Too bad it causes my team to feel differently when I do this in RHOD tournaments.
Here is hoping we eventually get a 'stock match' option.... though most of the designs I could wish for a -few- more heatsinks on
