I AM READY

Um... Why on earth put DHS on a Locust? Get Endo + FF instead. I'm pretty sure those 4 MGs and 1 ML aren't going to overheat you with standard heat sinks.

thinking about it a bit more. It's also plausible that it will just run till dec 15th when saber is released. since the way it's setup you must purchase phoenix in-order to purchase saber. it would probably confuse people and they'd get all sorts of emails from people trying to buy saber but they can't. also running it till december people will buy it for christmas.

With no refunds after Oct 11th, PGI needs to make it very clear that all sales are final.

Or just double heatsinks, XL170, AMS with 1 tonne and 2 tonnes of MG ammo  or no upgrades at all and that same config ;) would work fine.

Why should they end the phoenix sale now or in near future?

Why not keep the sale up until christmas or feb/march (when the last pp mech is available for cbills)?

Yes, you have to end the sale eventually, but why should they do it before/arround christmas? That would be plain stupid.

And those entitled forum warriors who grabbed the early bird deal? Those guys who are essentiallly saying: I don't want you to play with my toys, i was here first!" ??? just lol

UI 2.0 will launch when ready, CW will launch when ready, Clan will launch when ready. QQ about all of it doesn't make it ready.
That said the package is a good deal if you break it down and you pay for the premium, faction medallions, the mechs are about $3.33 ea. That doesn't include the free colors and patterns. As far as posting stats this is a business. You don't go into walmart and ask there sales figures or how many customers they have before you buy something so why would you expect it here. Grow up. Those that purchased the package will enjoy the great deal and those that decided to cancel will not but thinking your cancelling will affect anything is such a laugh. If you really want to affect change become a investor or shareholder then you will have some weight.

Have Fun and see most of you on the battle field.

Madd Dawg.

So unfair that I had to wait 4 months to get my package but if you order on the 11th you only have to wait 4 days. Way to reward the slackers pgi.

8 Days left everyone until you start destroying/getting destroyed, with/by battlemasters! also 5 days left to refund (if you want to refund) the last few days until phoenix drops is going to be fun for me and all MWO related as i get the weekends to screw off playing mechwarrior online and then get the great Canadian thanksgiving Monday off playing mechwarrior online AND then get Tuesday off to start being awesome with the phoenix mechs! also here is a little thing to let people know.

in the months following phoenix when they are only releasing the standard phoenix mechs to the public this gives them plenty of time to stop working on new mechs are continue to work on UI 2.0 and CW without interruptions from needing a new mech to add, also this gives them time to plan for the clans that are most likely going to come in a pack at the time that phoenix arrived but next year. it would take some planning to add the clan pack as they are going to have to choose the fan favorites out of all of them however i garrentee it will have the timberwolf.

Because that's the point of buying the phoenix pack. The whole purpose was pre-ordering the mechs, mechs that would be available via cbills - you got a great deal because you ordered them early. The reward for doing so was - explicitly - "I get these special toys that YOU don't get."

"Project Phoenix will be available for a limited time only and once vaulted, these packages will never be available again!"

I imagine PGI wants people to know these limited time deals actually are limited time. Otherwise, when they release the Clan pack, why would people bother pre-ordering? Why not just wait till the mechs are released? You know the deal will stay active, so why commit the money pointlessly before hand?

You have it wrong, the "forum warriors" who bought the packs are not the entitled ones. The entitled people are the ones who whine anytime something is being sold and not offered for free.

Erm... not quite!

When they said "Project Phoenix will be available for a limited time only and once vaulted, these packages will never be available again!", they were meaning only the Project Phoenix UNIQUE variants (unique hardpoint layout, unique geometry, C-Bill bonus and Loyalty Point bonus) would cease to be available after the offer ends (and this was made quite clear, at least to native English speakers. There is, potentially, an argument that the wording was such that it could be misinterpreted by those who are not as familiar with the language).

The standard variants were always going to be available for C-Bills eventually. The point of the Project Phoenix packs was that you get the unique variants that REALLY ARE limited time availability. You also get the MechBays and other goodies that won't be available for C-Bills.

Simply put, the reward was, and still is, "I get these special UNIQUE VARIANTS that YOU don't get", but with an added bunch of mechbays, vanity/loyalty items and a sizable discount over what it would cost to buy all the mechs and mechbays for MC.

As to why to commit money up-front? Perks like extra premium time for early-bird adopters spring to mind.

Edited due to my ability to nitpick even my own grammar and spelling at times!

I don't think the hardpoints are unique, but rather just the bonuses and paint/camo patterns. The variants with the cbill and loyalty boosts are stock variants, rather than unique Hero variants, so I think all of the variants in the Phoenix packages will be available for cbills in the future, albeit with standard camo, standard paint, and no bonuses...

Errr, yeah, obviously the c-bill variants will still be available. I thought my meaning was pretty clear, but I suppose it wasn't.

Mostly, I was just saying that the Phoenix Pack shouldn't be available for a long time because the PP exclusive items should actually be exclusive - in the capacity that they were advertised, of course. It doesn't make sense to continue selling a "pre-order" pack after the mechs are available normally.

This is correct, and has been explained. You're basically getting limited edition hero versions of mechs that will also be available in a standard version (Kind of like a champion version of a standard mech is now).
